Got it to work after inserting a paper clip into the reset hole at the bottom of the device, holding the button pressed for ten seconds. This is the factory reset button. Now it works really well. Edit: You could have explained this on the video if the computer or phone doesn't find the device...
Do you know what to do if your computer/mobile can't find the network? Mine used to work fine for 3 years but suddenly it started showing red. I tries to reset it but it won't show up in my available networks to set it up.
@@DigitalStickmanAre you using an Ethernet cable. If you are it's probably the cable giving you trouble. It has a bad connection to the router or at the DP-1620. Try changing the cable. Edit WAN-port, LAN-port. If wireless, try deleting and reinstalling the DAP-1620 app on your computer/phone.

My dad passed away and he setup thos thing and i dont see a config card anywhere and i dont have access to the modem due to its a private trailer park wifi shared with 30ppl and recently they changed wifi and cant get connected again

Your device is a piece of shit junk that will not setup. What a waste of my money and bloody time. I spent 3 hours trying to get it to work with either WPS or manual setup. AND EVERY TIME IT WENT TO SVE IT LOST ITS SHIT. DSL3900 was the connecting device. AS for activating the WPS setting in router, unable to find such a setting in the router GUI. Just a complete waste of time and money.
How do I 'repeat' the signal? This 1620 creates a new wifi signal (Adds EXT to the end) that I have to switch my WiFi signal to every time.

Yes but still In my mac I got a "WPA" not enabled .... and then it connected. But in older devices I had problems.

my router has 2.4ghz band, can i use 5ghz on extender? or do i need a router that supports both bands
After moving the extender to a new location, hit the WPS button on your router again.

The signal strength constantly changes and it is close to the original WiFi unit.
