Idk these people but being a “single mom” with a fully capable husband that just won’t help seems so much more overwhelming than being a single mom period… it’s exhausting relying on someone that doesn’t show up consistently especially when it’s with something you should both share the responsibilities for.
It’s kind of like having a slacker as a project partner at some point you realize it’s better you just do it alone than getting stressed over having to make sure they do their part, confronting them when they don’t, not having peace of mind all while having to do your own part.

I am leaning towards this mind set as well. I am a proud stay at home mom! I successful stayed at home and raised 3 VERY successful (adult) children now. It was the toughest job I’ve ever had! Yes you have to place your family before your desires. Once they are raised is when your hearts desires on steroids! I love being a driven woman in the second half of my life and no responsibilities!!!

I've been a Single Mother with two Son's and I haven't had any time to myself since 2012! This is 2024. I have was taking care of my Parent's while they we're sick. My Son's we're little, I was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy and Multiple Sclerosis in 2011. Then in 2012 I had to have my Defibrillator/Pacemaker put in my hearr. So I can stay alive for my Son's. I have almost died twice. The first time I lost my first born Son and my Fiancé at the same time 12/24/2004. I woke up without my family. I have fought my whole life to stay alive. I have never thought for one second to leave my Son's for nothing. That will never happen! My Son's are 19 and 17. I still struggle with shit in my life and I will never give up. 💯

Being a full time stay at home parent is the hardest work in the world. You constantly need to monitor the kids, cooking, cleaning, washing laundry, crying, screaming, running around, getting into everything, no breaks, no space, no change of scenery, no different people to converse with, and you don’t get paid. It’s stressful, and overwhelming. I do hope that you both work things out and come as one with your family

They need structure, goals, hobbies and outlets. Get them in a sport, get them and instrument or something and give them a place to put passion. They need a schedule where they know what is happening everyday. They know when the meals are coming, when dad's coming home, when school is, when they are coming and going. She seems to like chaos under the guise of spontaneity. That's terrible for children.
She also seems highly combative. She puts out that argumentive energy. She can't let anything lie, she can't be at peace, everything is personal to her. She's chaotic, erratic, spiteful, moody and combative. No wonder the children don't know how to act. They only know what they see and they are giving that energy back.

Meaning if its a wrong decision then she'll have to pay consequences now or in the future at some point.
