1) Song of the open road : The poem is about the freedom and journey of life where the poet now realises that there are many things still remaining to do in life rather than living the same life everyday

Maam actually in small towns and rivers, after an interview with mamang dai herself, she mentioned that the "small towns remind me of death" is written because, as we all grow up and move away, when someone from your hometown passes away, you have to return to your small town/village. She, who now resides in itnagar, has to revisit her small hometown everytime someone dies. Please take note.

The theme of the poem is that the heroic work of abbot of aberbrothok is shown kindness who place the bell near the inchcape rock so ship do not sink and strike .but the jeouless pirate removed the bell from the inchcape rock if we remember the newton third law of motion every action has equal and opposite reaction same thing happened with the pirate finally dies at the same place in a bad weather
