The UFL is considering keeping the current eight teams for the 2025 season.
Michigan Panthers and Houston Roughnecks may relocate to improve attendance.
The league is deciding between two potential start dates: March 1st or March 29th.
As the inaugural season of the United Football League (UFL) enters its final two weeks, there's still plenty of action happening behind the scenes. While fans are focused on the conclusion of the regular season, league officials and stakeholders are already looking ahead to the 2025 seaso

Michigan looked like attendance was good yesterday. Crowd was vocal. For Field was much too large for a new team. Team is good enough to build a following in Michigan.

Maybe a minor point but I feel it is relevant, Arlington Renegades need to put that masked cowboy with the cool red eyes on their helmets and get rid of that wonky R on their helmets...I would like to see expansion but it looks like we have 3 pretty bad teams (Memphis, Houston and Arlington) and diluting the talent pool with 2 more teams too quickly will not help...especially when a few of the best players will be heading off to the NFL as well. Hopefully there will be an influx of new players with NFL dreams to fill the voids.

They need to get boots on the ground for a few weeks. Cities need to connect with the team.

I think if they make the announcement in September, that'll give all 8 teams time to sell season tickets to all the stadiums including Ford Field, and Rice Stadium (TDECU Stadium won't be ready till fall of 2025). Plus I would love to see the UFL Champion host the first Friday night game of the season.

I would love to see more teams return, but I also want the league to be successful long term.
If that means running it back with just 8 teams for another year so be it.

I would love to see them getting some kind of tv deal for a weekly prime time game. Don't know when or what day, don't care, just something that starts around 8-830pm. I was hoping 2025 or 2026 they expand to 10 teams so that 5th game each week would be in that slot.

This what I find so far As Chairwoman, Garcia led the XFL's ownership group alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gerry Cardinale's RedBird Capital Partners, which launched on February 18, 2023. At the end of 2023, the XFL was merged with the Fox Corporation owned USFL to form the United Football League with Garcia retaining partial ownership

The Michigan Panthers should consider moving to Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo. The branding is there and I think they will have a chance to get more people at the stadium. Also, expansion should only happen if there is owners involved. I want to see these eight teams have individual owners before expansion can happen. If they get more than eight owners interested than expand next season.

So the Panthers that can’t sell 65k seats in Ford Field will move outside and try to fill a college stadium that either holds 80k or 100k? Good luck with that

You have bad information this week or this league is really fucked up. TDECU stadium is under renovation and won’t be completed until the fall of 2025. And you report the Panthers will move into a bigger stadium? What the fuck is going on here?

The UFL struggles because they act like the SEC and They are Conference USA. The title game is abysmal right now. The XFL merger was a bad idea. That half has a major disconnect with the football fans they need in the seats and create a brand for. All flash and then a mediocre dance makes for a bad time.

You would think that Spartan Stadium with 75,000 capacity would be a better venue than the truly vast Michigan Stadium with 107,000 capacity.
Plus. The Spartan brand is not as big as the Wolverine iconic national champion brand and could welcome the additional income and exposure for their
stadium from the UFL. While Michigan could see the UFL as not worthy of playing on their field. Even a typical Battlehawks attendance would look pathetic
in the vast bowl in Ann Arbor. I could see MSU giving the UFL decent lease terms because they have something to gain beyond the payments while Michigan
really has nothing to gain from the UFL and more at risk to their brand seeing poorly (relatively speaking) attended pro football in their iconic venue.
I would imagine that the UFL would expand to 10 teams to provide Friday night content for FOX while still playing two Saturday and two Sunday games,
    if FOX pays more money.

      1. Revenue aint all that rn
      2. A lot of stadium renovations finish for the 26 season and wpuldnt be ready for the 25 season
      3. Not expanding rn helps sell the authenticity of the league since not shuffling it up buys fan trust
      4. Gives more time for owners to buy a franchise from the OG 8 which helps it
Like I hate 8 as well
However, if staying at 8 this up comming year keeps it alive long enough to expand naturally Im cool with it
