Union Pacific RR Maintenance of Way (MOW) in action

During the Winter of 2019-20, UP replaced most of the ties between Galt and Ione (California) on their line paralleling State Highway 104 (Twin Cities Road) in Sacramento. While warding off tie thieves for several months, the UP maintenance of way (MOW) train finally started retrieving all the used ties. This video was taken between Herald and Clay, on 24 April 2020.
