First Game for T-Display S3

- New version of my "Space Wars" game is here. This is the first game I created for the new T-Display S3 development board. Two built-in push buttons are usually not enough for games so I designed custom PCB. PCB is made by PCBWay www.pcbway.com/ and you can order it here:

Great details. I will wait for the transparent sprites. Can not find good information about how to do in the TFT_eSPI library. I need for my analog clock program. To change the clock hands painted by DrawLine command to 3 transparent sprites. By the way, I like to read your program code in the examples. I learned a lot (debounce problem by pressing a button and using sprites for no flickering).

@@VolosProjects If you are feeling particularly brave you should try to do a ray casting engine on one of these. I built one for very old cell phone once (t-mobile sidekick) and I think the ESP32 beats it on speed. But running something like the original Wolfenstein would be pretty sweet.

Awesome project, please do transparent sprite demo, I believe most people need it. Also I am using WT32 SC01, you can try to make a content about it.

Great video and work as always. I've ordered the V3 T Display, and the pcb's. What size are the push button switches, please ? I'll need to order those too, as I only have 4 pin types. Are they 6 X 6 mm square ?

The GFX look amazing, but the 4 individual buttons instead of a joystick might be less satisfying....
Does this board have battery management so it won’t overcharge or overdeplete/discharge the battery?

You're doing great work here, so inspiring. I've got a set of 5 boards (minimum order) from PCBway which are nicely made. Would you mind if I sold one or two via eBay with pushbuttons and header socket as kit?

Note: This error originates from pySerial. It is likely not a problem with esptool, but with the hardware connection or drivers.

Jai la reponse :-) Press and hold the BOOT button when the power is off(T-Diosplay S3) , the button is located behind the RST button. and start Arduino IDE 2.1.0
Pozdrav! Nedavno sam kupio nekoliko ovih displeja jer pravim daljinski upravljač i vaša videa su mi puno pomogla da shvatim kako prikazati nešto na pokazivaču. Međutim naišao sam na jedan problem. Kada spojim napajanje preko lipo baterije, T-displej se ne starta. Kada spojim bateriju na novi, neprogramirani displej, sve radi OK. Možete li reći ako znate u čemu je problem. Pozdrav! Boris
pozdrav, ja sam se vec prepao da je moj t-display pokvaren jer isto ne radi na bateriju. Dakle radi na tvorničkim postavkama. proucit cu ovo malo bolje pa vam javim.

I think Banggood is totally unscrupulous. I ordered six of these boards when there price US$19.49. They accepted the order and processed the payment and have had use of my money since September 4th. Having sold out quickly, tow things have happened. There price on Banggood has steadily increased to US$25.00, AND, people who ordered after have received the higher priced boards.
Yesterday I was advised by Banggood via email that my order at $19.49 was being summarily cancelled because they have no product and they have no expectation of ever getting parts, yet I was invited to reorder, if I wanted to, at the higher price.
To add insult to injury, a fried received his higher-priced order yesterday.
Banggood took my money and doesn’t want to fulfill the order because they want to sell the boards they have at a higher price then they contracted to sell them to me.
IT IS DISGUSTING!
I am sorry you had bad experience with them. Banggood is my sponsor but I can understand why you are angry. I hope they will refund you all the money. I also don't like their behavior in this case.
I had the exact same problem. I canceled my order and got a refund. These boards seem like vaporware.
I had the same type of issues. Waited over a month and finally just cancelled. Had better luck ordering through Tindie. Boards arrived in about 2 weeks.
Totally agree, funnily I had posted an almost identical comment. I diverged from your description by saying I hope BG do cancel the order because I'd found a cheaper price on AliExpress. My comment was removed.
