16:27 It was however enjoyable to hear the intro music and extro music of the BBC version. And see a Doctor Who actor as Puddleglum ... (never watched Dr. Who, btw).
27:32 St. Denis of Paris, traditionally identified with St. Denis of the Areopagus. One of the cephalophore saints ... he was beheaded, took his head in his hands, walked over to a statue of the Blessed Virgin, laid down his head on the ground and only then fell down dead beside his head.
12:45 I'll remember the species of tuna. I used to read encyclopedias to, but not from end to end, more like "spgq" (searching cross references at the other end of the alphabet).
16:40 If I may be a bit conspiracy minded ... Magician's Nephew is a creation story plus a doomsday story for Charn. Horse and His Boy involves Calormenes being (by and large, at least at court) evil, so does (with exception for Emeth) Last Battle. Last Battle is a Doomsday and Harmageddon story for Narnia. Could we have been dealing with "good old" (not all that many centuries old and certainly not very good) PC?
I would be more interested in hearing about his biological father, american author William Gresham, whos books are all out-of-print except maybe NIGHTMARE ALLEY.
Why ? He wasn’t part of his children’s life from the time Doug and David were about seven having left joy ( their mum ) at that time for another woman and turned his back on his family so why hear about him when jack ( Cs Lewis ) was more of a father to him than William ever was .
I love his interviews. ❤
