@Gloriellee X not really, she had amazing lines and extensions, her control when dancing was just so natural...maybe stephanie should have been the alternate she's not as strong if you pay attention, but I get they did that for plot reasons....
Yea, I feel like it wasn’t fair for them to replace her cause she couldn’t do a lot of acro. Clearly she was amazing without it. Acro is just an addition to dance, but it’s not dance, and if they really feel like they need Acro in order to be good, they aren’t made for A-Troupe
I honestly think it’s all about plot. Amanda was looked at as the best dancer and powerful when she was bad and at elite. But then in season 3 she looked weaker because the show portrayed her as an alternate.

She built up their trust by befriending A- troupe then tricked them. It also said '' we will fight again'' so I kinda think she warned A-troupe with her music cause what else does it mean?
i agree, in my opinion the song reflects the situation too. on the other hand, she mentioned just choosing the song because she knew it was the same song that riley was going to dance to. She planned to go first and by choosing the same song she wanted to intimidate riley. but yes, the song choice is bittersweet
Yo this is an extended dance on the show she did the dance twice but parts were cut off because of the talking heads so the creator obviously had to join them together
It really doesn't surprise me that Miss Kate named Amanda understudy in the third season, because she is an amazing dancer, she has a great technique and this dance is very beautiful it's just, I'm not very impressed with this dance and I feel that it needs more interpretation and more emotion when it comes to dancing, also there are no acrobatics in this dance, not a single somersault or the aerial, that is a very important part to impress people and it is not its strong point sadly for something they named it in fifth place in the female solo and then in third place. Instead of being so sad that she was an understudy in the next season for me she should have tried harder to show everyone that she can work very hard and can be a better dancer,
