I'm hoping you're correct about that embankment that's sticking out of the EWR line. It looks like it's the start of the link to Aylesbury. I'm ever hopeful we will get it!
EWR say that the track will be restored by HS2, but no signaling is funded. So it will be a freight only line, for now, but not such a massive job to upgrade for passenger service, since most of the track, drainage etc. will all be new.

Calvert Depot is for Infrastructure maintenance; train maintenance will be at Washwood Heath.
