1:23 Candlestick point. I live in another country and don't know about San Francisco, but I looked it up on a satellite map.I love finding the exact location shown in the video.
Nice drive. It’s been ages since I’ve been through here, so thanks for the trip down memory lane. Also, thank you for *not* inundating viewers with ads every five minutes. It definitely makes a difference.
I don't remember if I have seen your video before but I enjoyed watching it other than the traffic stops, I live in Southern California and I know a few things about traffic haha! I think you can fast forward the traffic part and if anyone needs to know how long it took you can put a footnote my two cents but in any case I enjoyed it very much keep rolling these wonderful videos.
I live +- 20 miles south of where your video began. Not questioning how long your ride took but having made the trip between home and the Napa Valley (St. Helena) on a regular basis, it might take 2.5 hours because of the afternoon traffic but with WAY less driving. Your route was the most convoluted route. Up 101 to 80. In Vallejo, take HWY 37 about 2 miles to HYW 29. North on 29, and you're there. 75 miles from home for me and around 2 hours in decent traffic. And, that is to St. Helena which is about 18 miles further than your destination. Thanks for sharing !! Your drive through SF was like a "time travel" visit with all the motels on Lombard St. Grew up in SF during the 40's and 50's.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I took that specific route since I wanted to drive through Marin. Then, 37 had too much traffic, so it was faster to take a detour through Lakeville.
Okay, so this will be a two-night watch, I need to go to bed; but, some thoughts- first, CA looks to be every bit as enjoyable a place to come see as I imagine; second, what is it with you folks and stopping at an intersection with a greenlight to avoid gridlock? Do they string you up by your toes, or are you just better drivers than us in New England; lastly, you motorcyclists are an awfully trusting lot - I could never get used to lane splitting. Such a fun watch, looking forward to tomorrow night - thank you!
Haha, yeah, blocking intersections doesn't seem to be the standard practice in Bay Area, but not sure on the better drivers 😀 Glad you enjoyed the drive!
As an American, the lack of lane discipline on American highways always infuriates me. In that beginning scene, we have 4 wide lanes of traffic, with all of them just cruising at the exact same speed, and the right lane being the least utilized. This is why we cant have nice things like an autobahn 😩
Are you saying it takes 2 1/2 hours to drive to Napa from San Francisco? It doesn't even take that long to go there and back even with the traffic. I live in Sacramento which is farther away from Napa and it doesn't take that long 😮.
@@FrequentDriver San Francisco is only about 55 miles from Napa, unless there was a major accident on the freeway it should have only taken around an hour to an hour 15 minutes that's with the traffic that was on your video. Did you stop for lunch? Then it would make sense.
@tahoebabe8939 They said they took the Golden Gate which means they went the long way around and came into Napa from the west instead of taking 80 across the Bay Bridge. Based on the time stamps about 45 minutes was spent just driving on 101 taking a tour of downtown.

Stunning drive. I always prefered the journey from SoCal to NorCal rather than the opposite. The Bay area is just a magical place to live.
Thank you for sharing your video
My pleasure!
Thanks for not including music. Did some of this drive (S SF to Mill Valley) several years ago and it brought back memories.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for taking us on a ride!😊

From Daly City to Napa Outlet takes about 2 hours moderate driving.

❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah, it was definitely longer than expected even with the traffic. Getting onto the Golden Gate Bridge was so slow 😐
