- ⋆Throughout the development of RDR2 - a game with arguably the best horse graphics out there - many horse coats were DELETED from the game! Some of them simply being used on other breeds (although I would have loved to have the coat available on both) and some being removed entirely. These were found through files left in the game, or images found as well. Luckily for us - we have fantastic modders in the community! So now we can relive our dreams of these deleted horse! (sorry console) Which horse are you the most angry about not being able to buy?⋆

apparently I could not speak in this video a game could be made out of the number of times I said the wrong thing (despite reading a script with the right words hahah) said things weirdly or just somehow missed a word altogether 🧍♀️👍
I never understood what gave them the idea that adding DWs would be good while at the same time NOT adding American Quarter horses. It's baffling to me. xDDDD

@@noellemcclain Actually the breed originated around the late 1600s...So they could have really put the breed in RDR, though idk why they didn't.

Kinda wish they added more of the old breeds from rdr1 and I so wish they gave us the options of owning donkeys and mules and more variations for them 😢
Yeah I would’ve loved to have a mule. Giant donkeys would be a fun addition too. I’m really glad they added some old breeds though. The Turkoman being the prime example. They’re extinct now irl
I agree! I wish an option had been added where we could have two horses out or even the donkey/mule to help with carrying items.
Such a shame they didn’t keep all of these coats, they look so good. I would love to see new coats for online!

mosaic is not an actual coat but actually: A chimeric (or Mosaic) horse is one that is genetically. two horses, the result of one zygote being absorbed. into the other in the very earliest stages of pregnancy.
Similar thing with brindle "Chimeric gene"

fun fact! out of the very few confirmed chimera horses, most show brindle patterning. almost all horses with patchy "chimera" are just somatic mutations. the same can be said for some of the brindles too actually - for example, the "warped brindle" is clearly based on a real life mare called josie (queen of hearts), who has a somatic mutation that caused her unique markings. additionally, there's a brindle coat gene in american quarter and paint horses that is x-linked semi-dominant - only mares with one BR1 allele exhibit the brindle stripes (stallions and homozygous mares end up with a sparse mane and tail instead)

Honestly wish there was more grulla coats in the game. It's such a pretty coat color, but I think it's only on the mustang in the base game. A shame they deleted so many pretty variations though.
Knowing Rockstar really well with their ideas, all these horses are supposed to be released exclusively in RDO in upcoming passes and updates.
They never released them when they saw the RDO doesn't give them much profit as GTAO.
RDO is far more grindier than GTAO.
They did same with vehicles and other stuffs in GTAO releasing them later (like Hydra and Hunter etc when in source codename files remained the sounds and info).
In Enhanced Edition they just brought back cut vehicles from PS3/X360 like Stallion and Dukes on streets.
Same with animals.

Because of the color confusion I will try to explain the difference between Albino and Cremello. There is the "Cream Gene" which is a color dilution for red hair. If a horse carries one of these it will be Palomino instead of Chestnut, Buckskin instead of Bay and Smokey Black instead of Black (here you might not see any difference because the dilution is for red and not black hair, that is also the reason why a Bucksin has black mane, tail and legs).
If a horse carries two of these Cream Genes the black hair will also be affected and it will be Cremello instead of Chestnut, Perlino instead of Bay and Smokey Cream instead of Black. All three have blue eyes and are very similar. You might not really see the difference but the Cremello is everywhere snow white. The Perlino is white with slightly darker maybe orangish mane, tail and legs. The Smokey Cream is everywhere white, too, but it is a slightly darker "off-white".
So the Cream Gene is well known, you can breed with it and calculate the colors a foal will have (e.g. if the parents are a Chestnut and a Cremello it will always give birth to a Palomino foal).
Albino is not a specific gene but a random mutation and therefore not breedable. They have unpigmented reddish eyes and there is no documented existing albino horse until today.
i dont have a pc so i never realized the realism of the veins and the coat texture of the horses like at 8:35 thats actually insane
Y'all showed but missed talking about the liver chestnut Hungarian half-bred. It's listed on the RDR2 wiki as "unobtainable."
There are three playable coats: piebald tobiano, flaxen chestnut, and dapple dark gray.
there is one more dutch warmblood coat if you do a mission it is a gold cremello stallion
I'm 4 months late, but the reason that the albino turkoman doesn't have red eyes like albinos should is because the mod creator has actually taken dutch's horse (from the main story of RDR2) named "the count" and slapped it in the mod and has called it the albino turkoman. So, technically, this horse isn't even a deleted horse and the mod creator has lied to you.
Albino horses don't have red eyes unlike other albino animals, their eyes are blue or white

@@third-strike They're still often called albino among horse people. True albino horses are very rare (if they excist at all), and they have blue (or white) eyes, as do the dominant white horses.
@@Niini5 I'm just saying you're wrong to correct the other person on what eye color albino horses have or do not have because albino horses don't exist. So they can't have red eyes or blue eyes or purple eyes. There is simply no such thing as an albino horse and every albino horse you may have seen or heard about is a mislabeled cremello, white, max sabino, or any other gene that presents itself as a pale coat with pink skin. They are not just exceptionally rare, a true albino horse has never been documented as albino is a recessive gene and white in horses is dominant.

4:43 wow. I've never seen anything like it in real life so I can get how it detracts from the realism but my goodness that is gorgeous. I don't care if they painted the horse like they painted that "zebra" but Momma likey. 😅

That "albino" horse is a cremello or similar! There's multiple real coat colors, double dilutions mostly, that cause horses to look nearly completely white with ice blue eyes.

it even looks like the amber champagne missouri foxtrotter is what is being shown in the video. The messy mane that flops over the eyes is what the foxtrotter natural mane looks like in the game.

In addition to deleted horses, there are deleted scenes, game sequences, and inactive locations. For example, in the trailer for the game we see a short fragment of a gang of Dutch galloping through the territory of Blackwater, Arthur riding a horse of an unknown breed. In the story, Arthur mentions his favorite horse named Boudicca, who died during a robbery in Blackwater.
Thought for certain the Black Snowflake Appaloosa would have been one of them, at least I think someone had mentioned that's where it came from. But I do wish that they'd added more coats to some of the horses who only got like 3 or 4. I really want a Black FoxTrotter that looks similar to the Black Arab or Turk, and a Black Nokota and more coats and patterns for the Paints and Appys

Are some of these base game costs from updates to story mode?? I've never seen the light buckskin American Standardbred or any of the Pinto Mustangs
there is another dutch warm blood coat you can get for free in rdr2 story mode you have to be in chapter 6 and near O'Creagh's Run

i wouldve loved the black coats to be left in. i was stoked about the black standardbred when it got added(though i sold the one i had bc it was too fussy). i also still think its annoying they got rid of the black shire outside of the one you get in the mission--when it first came out you could still go get another off the carriages. the chestnut and black one wouldve also been amazing in game, and definitely looks more based on chimeric, though i did used to know a thoroughbred who was liver chestnut and had a normal chestnut patch over a large area and there was a name for that kind of marking but i cant think of it now. kind of like a blood mark but not.
I’m more happy with the black shire being unique tbh. I have him as my main horse every time.

The "Albino" turk is also not needed because it uses the exact same coat that dutch's arabian uses.
Yes but those Arabian’s look so sad and ridiculous because of how small they are xd. They’re like for a teenage girl average weight not a fully grown adult man - one of the only things I have to say negatively about the game
I noticed you missed out the liver chestnut Andalusian horse (I think it’s the Andy), it was supposedly meant to be boadicea but she was scrapped and left to die with Mac :(

Albino Turkoman probably got cut, because it's just bigger version of Arabian Albino that Dutch's owned, his horse The Count.
The amber champagne MST is in story mode though? But I do wish a lot of these cut horses were available for us to use in story mode
I’ve finally 100%-ed this bloody game a couple of days ago, but I gotta say that Turkoman (especially the dark bay coat) has always been my favourite. But when you described more coats, I died. The three just aren’t enough, man. No fair.

for the first one, there is a true "albino" horse. its called the dominant white. it has a pink nose and pink eyes along with light colored hooves. they are extremely rare just like any other albino animal. if you like race horses, then you'd know who sodashi and white dragon are. they are both "albino" or, dominant white.

I believe Light Buckskin might be an online exclusive! but by using Rampage I am still able to spawn online exclusive horses

The light buckskin can only be found in the wild while in story mode. I see it occasionally up in big valley
I've never seen a buttermilk buckskin standardbred in the base game, I've seen that coat color on the Kentucky Saddler.
The albino Turkoman was probably going to be Dutch's horse, but they changed it to an Arabian because Hosea's "Silver Dollar" is also a Turkoman.

The camel was said to be a deleted part from a lochness monster side mission or random encounter, I forget, but they have a youtuber known as strangeman who went over deleted things and a camel was mentioned!

I wish they'd release a big update where everything from Online is available in campaign, since they basically gave up on the online portion.

In real life, brindle isn't a thing in horses as it isn't genetic. Meaning that if the father and mother have the 'brindle' markings, the chances of the foal coming out as 'brindle' do not increase, as it's not an actual coat pattern. Rather it's called a 'skewed' coat, i believe.

Its in online, the old dude has it for example in the mission when you save the sheriff at Tumbleweed.

I would absolutely kill for that light buckskin coat on the mustang, or even the palomino. That bay Dutch Warmblood is gorgeous, its a classic. And it would have looked darn good with Arthur.
Seriously tho, i would hand Rockstar $50 USD for that light buckskin but on the mustang, today. How do they not understand unlimited horses and occasional breed/coat adds or customizations would be an easy slam dunk?

Both Red Dead Redemption video games are awesome, especially when it comes to the graphics of the horses. I haven't played Red Dead Redemption 2 much at all but have watched numerous TH-cam videos of it. I don't understand the stats of some of the horses, especially the Arabian horse. I believe the stats are over rated on the Arabian Horse versus the Mustang and the Thoroughbred Horses. It also shocks me as why Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have any Quarter Horses as they were the most common horses in the wild west era versus the Arabian Horse and the Turkumon Horse.
I actually made a video recently on Quarter Horses! There was a mod created for them and I did some research. I think technically Quarter Horses weren't registered horses back then, but that didn't stop them adding the Turkoman I think it is which was technically I think a retired horse breed during the era of RDR2 as well 😅 I also don't really look at the stats I just ride pretty horses...

Pretty cool. Is there a risk of being banned by using these mods? I keep hearing of or meeting people who ride in real life that play this game to ride horses in video games. My family has horses as well. Do you ride?
You are only at risk of getting banned if you use mods online - I personally only use them in singleplayer. I also unfortunately don't ride, it's rather expensive in Australia and I can't afford it 😅

Here is the USA it can be somewhat affordable to own a horse and ride. In fact getting the horse is the easy part. It's feed, ferrier, vet bills etc.. that can add up.

hmm it was just in the list of Arabians in my Rampage. When filming the arabian vanilla game colours I didn't have any extra horses installed. The Red Dead Wiki says it's an online exclusive so maybe that's the case, and it can only be accessed because I spawned them in through Rampage

I don't understand why they decide not to put more horses. I mean, more colors of horses the better (at least for me). I don't care if there are many black horses, white, bay, etc. Maybe if they put the same colors on a lot of horses that is good, no? Maybe I don't like a black Shire, but I'd like a black Mustang, the thing is the color, I like the color but not the horse, maybe! I dunno if you understand. I hope so!

Are you modding the base game or online? If the base game, is that just a female model to replace Arthur?
singeplayer only! I know some people do online but that does risk being banned. The female model is also a mod! I used a tutorial by Abigail Pinehaven! I have Rampage which you can do it on, but also Lennys Simple Trainer and also an Outfit mod!
why awhite arabian is infamous? its my fav actually, because of the colour
I think it's regarded as the 'best' horse to obtain - especially since you have to get it in the wild. I personally have never looked or cared for my stats haha. This is all based on singleplayer, I don't play online so idk if it's less popular there!
@@JustAnotherPixel there is easy trick how to catch arabian in the wild- 2 rifle shots will make him bleeding and weak. Then quickly jump on him, tame, pet and feed :-) but u need to be quick otherwise he will die. U talking to rdr expert xD

First off, something that bugs me is that what they call a chestnut in the Arabian breed is a bay. Bay horses have black points. Chestnuts don't. I'm glad they cut the wild bay from the Arabian because it wouldn't have made sense. "Wild" bay is a more primitive coloring which would not exist in an extensively bred breed like Arabians.
Secondly, I wish there had been more variations of the nokota, something other than roan. An entire breed made up of roans? Not likely. Also, I wish there had been more diversity in the appaloosa colors. Three of the four we have access to buy/tame are all the same shade of reddish-brown despite the different coat patterns. 😫
Before the Arabian was overbred with the deep dish face they had various colors being from the Middle East and all. They're one of the oldest breeds.
@@hellcat1401 The fact that they're one of the oldest breeds makes my point. They are farther from primitive coloring/patterns than most other horses, and there are very few breeds which retain primitive coloring to the extent where they're commonly seen with them.
