He's a Kiwi rider from New Zealand. World Champion MX2 in 2004 or 05, numerous Motocross De Nations and won the 250 East Championship too. As you can by the video, He's no slouch..
Had a lot of potential but had a few bad crashes and decided to hang it up and focus on his kids and family. Bummer cuz he was fun to watch but injuries will do that
Unreal, thanks for the compilation. Townley and Villopoto unreal, as a Kiwi I have to go for Townley though! :)
Man, how consistent was Townley.. just always up there no matter what. Villapoto was crazy fast but just needed to be a bit smarter and back it down
Not to be that guy but you spelled Villopoto with a A
Thanks for taking the time to make this
30:34 is what you call hanging in their, one of the greatest saves I’ve ever seen.
Great battle for that Championship. 🇺🇸🏆
What a season! Awesome riders, sick Kawi bikes, Erin Bates and even Diffey in the box!
Lawrence- villapoto is just mad there is someone faster than him now- gets smoked by villapoto and townley the whole series 😂😂
Right, dude was a clown lol
JLaw is the most overhyped rider I've ever seen
@@DonHewlett3 it's not even an argument. I don't get the obsession over the guy.
@aaronmx8 meanwhile Townley goes toe to toe with the best guy of that era and nobody ever talks about him.
@@DonHewlett3 spot on! Ben was a monster on the bike! Jason was a dumbass off the bike too and gets praised for being a pos I don't get it
Ricky, James and Ryan always sinding it.
Lawrence was such a lost cause.
He was very good talent, infront Dungey and Grant,
dont think he had RV speed but he had for any other!
Villo was such an animal. a DNF, come from last and crash at shougal and almost wins, huge crash at steel city…dude was unreal
Young Villopoto on the 250f is a thing of beauty. It was imposible to beat him.
ben townley was as fast as the fastest when he was on

30:34 I choked on my nachos.
Gold!
The PC Kawasaki 250's from that time were the most powerful bikes on the track just like their KX 125's were in the mid 90's
poor hepler was so fast he just had a black CLOUD OVER HIS HEAD
100%
