We recommend using the following keyboard shortcuts: A - to add additional Keeper, X - to remove a Keeper, and S - to swap the current photo with the existing keeper. This can save you even more time and should be more intuitive than using the numbers to assign color labels.
Thank you for reviewing our new Culling Studio! Can't wait for everyone to give it a try and boost their photo selection and review process. We truly believe this can be a game changer!
Timely review! Just last week I tested the AI Culling software PhotoRefine, which is included in my Zenfolio subscription. The software predominantly rates photos based on sharpness and exposure, which my Nikon Z8 (or any Canon, or Sony….or any brand) does really well. So the AI Culling software that I tried was not that great since 95% of the photos are sharp and well exposed to begin with. I’ll look into this one that you’ve tried, I’ve also seen other YT channels talk about this software specifically.
Imagen AI's culling studio takes the same amount of time for me as just doing it myself. The only difference is it promises to cost me more once I'm used to it and it comes off beta
I don’t give all of them in black-and-white, just some of my favorites so I go through and just select ones I want to see in black-and-white and use one of my own presets for it
The question is... are you actually saving any time over using Photo Mechanic if you're checking which photos Imagen has selected anyway. My guess is probably not!
Yeah potentially but that’s a me thing rn bc I’m nervous about ai culling since it’s my first time really using it. Plus for weddings it’s doing all of the work for family and group photos which saves me a ton of time zooming in to check blinks etc
I have to say the workflow is a bit confusing... but 12am... you get a break... so 1) Imagen --> 2) Lightroom --> 3) Evoto I'd love to see a video on that, especially because the confusing part for me was that you used Imagen to both cull and edit , then you were in LR? hmmm
Imagen culls in their own software, then gives you edit settings to import into Lightroom where you tweak and export. they work in tandem. ☺️ then if I want to retouch anything I use evoto
@@VanessaJoy When you export from LR, are you doing it in what file format for Evoto? I found out DNG doesn't work, but I wanted more than just a JPG. I asked EVOTO support.... waiting on a response.

Love it!

When you images are opened in LRc how do you see the before and after image ? Can you explain how you do this please ?
Press space bar, lol I think. It’s either that or the backslash key

Do you give all the edited photos in color and B&W? Would it be easier to use a BW imagen profile via a collection?

@@VanessaJoy thanks for your response!
I just downloaded imagen and the culling studio isn't even an option 🤔
I find it best for portrait sessions vs weddings, though I have used it for weddings as a “round 1” before too

I’m too picky, I would never be happy with someone else’s post.
During the review stage... isn't that culling yourself anyway?
Sort of, but for me I’m mainly checking the stand alone images and the throw away duplicates so not quite the same as going through all of them.
First! *Sorry had to*
😂
