you can do it the story mode to, but know that if you make the same choice as before on the map or restart a fight, your choices will be the same and you will start the fight with the same cards
Two tips from my own playthroughs: 1: putting corpse eater onto an expensive card completely negates its cost, since it'll play itself once something on your side dies 2: corpse eater + unkillable = card that replays itself every time it dies
I searched "Kaycee's Mod tips" and 14 vids later, I finally find Kaycee's Mod tips Great video sir, thank you tons Edit: Oil painting puzzles in this can rot with Barry and Kaycee
Thank you so much! I'm glad I could help even a little bit! The oil painting is definitely tedious. Just dedicate a few runs with no mods to get those done so you can have the items, and don't forget you can reset the painting by quitting the run completely or purposely dying if the cards are hard to come by! Good luck, and let me know if there's any other games or videos you'd like to see!
Thank you for the kind words, my friend. YALL deserve more videos haha. I'm currently thinking about what to do next! I'm glad you enjoyed this video and it helped you out!
Id been stuck on challenge level 4 for a while but the tips on limiting deck size and keeping just 1 low cost card to always start the game with helped me get right to level 8 before decided to call it a night. Id get to the end and never get the cards i needed and would get impossible matches but then after keeping that in mind i got past the next few challenge levels in 1st or 2nd try
Great vid. You summarize the fair hand function pretty well, but it's worth saying specifically that if you have one and only _one_ card in your deck that costs 0 or 1 Blood, e.g. playable on turn one, then you will start _every_ battle with that card in your hand. The Blood deck is ripe for exploiting this mechanic, since you can ditch the Mole by feeding it to a Campfire, or sacking its sigil onto something else. Then you can just avoid one-blood cards, so that you'll always start with the Black Goat (and, early on, the 3-Attack Moose Buck). Then you can start stockpiling heavy-hitting cards until your deck is loaded with win conditions. Otherwise, I personally think the Clover is a major asset in terms of minimizing fluff in your deck, and IMO five points isn't nearly enough for me to consider going without it. I tend to agree with your thoughts on the other challenges though. Single Candle's definitely trickier than a new player might assume, and Pricey Pelts in particular is literally free as far as I'm concerned. I will say I think enabling both More Difficult options for +30 challenge points provides pretty good value; I don't really feel like it increases the quality of Leshy's cards so much as the quantity. If you can flesh out your deck reasonably quick so that you're ending fights early, it's no issue, but battles that drag on can definitely get out of hand with More Difficult active. Annoying Starters lends itself to an interesting strategy with the Mantis deck-since the Ring Worms have the Annoying sigil, you can trash them at a sigil altar 😁It's usually no big deal to put them on something with high HP, like a Dire Wolf or Grizzly, as long as you don't forget that Annoying will buff opposing trees, the moon, etc. Really nice work, I wish I'd found this vid when I was just starting KM!
In early game, before you have a Geck deck, one pelt is good if you have Ijiraq in your deck, because it could be free if it's disguised as the pelt. It does take resetting to get the positioning right.
I’m trying to figure out the clock puzzle for this mod. Does anyone know it? I have the first part done with the piece of paper that says 116 can’t figure out the next.
There's nothing to solve unfortunately. I don't recall offhand if the bottom drawer in the clock is empty, or if you just can't open it at all, but either way the only thing the clock is hiding in Kaycee's Mod is the 116 in the top drawer that gives you the record from the safe.
You unlock new starting decks as you level up in kaycees mod. Each level comes from completing a run with a certain amount of points. Each modifer you enable before you start is worth a certain amount. You will need to complete it several times to unlock everything.
I beat the entirety of Kaycee’s mod without even knowing about the painting puzzle. It never even crossed my mind that you could get up from the table.
I can't for the life of me, get past the trapper. I dont have any of those fancy cards. Just the starting deck. I get decent cards, but he always overwhelms me and does me in.
I'm new too, but I either go for spray and pray plan: I kill all his monsters and get pelts for the second phase, or the quick and clean plan: hold back and overpower him with one monster and try and kill him in one hit using that single space they give you in the first round.
I usually just target all the traps and sacrifice most of my cards (if i don't have bi/tri attacks), once they're all gone just little by little work his health down and stack squirrels, then use all the pelts to take the front line and the best one in the back (you should have 5 pelts total) this will let you beat the 2nd phase on the first move by removing his defense and song up new cards you just took
There may be something you're looking for later in the video, there's some time stamps in the description if you want to skip ahead to tips and tricks.
It works, but the outcome will always be the same. In your example, they will keep giving out two upgrades. Resetting in that scenario would just allow you to swap out the card you're putting in. So if you were trying to give them a ringworm and they didn't eat it, you could reset and give them a good card you need upgraded, knowing it'll be safe. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear in the video! Hope this clears it up!
I'm 50 hours in and never even tried exiting to the start screen to reroll. You just unlocked a new card for me!
Thank you for commenting. I'm glad I could help. Enjoy your new card!
you can do it the story mode to, but know that if you make the same choice as before on the map or restart a fight, your choices will be the same and you will start the fight with the same cards
I knew that ringworm killed the campers but not touch of death that's super helpful thanks

Great video mate! Cheers. Definitely kept making the mistake of saving pelts.

Great video dude you got a sub!
Great tips man thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 🙂
Great tips! Thank you!
You're welcome! :)
Now those are some fine tips

Oh, cool! Maybe that will help someone. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate the help
yeah but you get the ring worm when you double quit. put that into the fire, have the people eat it. and you get 2 free upgrades, (4 in normal act 1)
This game is like an abusive hot girlfriend.
Lol. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Play with my tiny deck. ✅ Very helpful!
Special thanks to my number 1 fan haha
I’m trying to figure out the clock puzzle for this mod. Does anyone know it? I have the first part done with the piece of paper that says 116 can’t figure out the next.
I believe it's a new combination for the safe. Try to use it on that next.
There's nothing to solve unfortunately. I don't recall offhand if the bottom drawer in the clock is empty, or if you just can't open it at all, but either way the only thing the clock is hiding in Kaycee's Mod is the 116 in the top drawer that gives you the record from the safe.
i only unclock the decks when i complete the challenge?
You unlock new starting decks as you level up in kaycees mod. Each level comes from completing a run with a certain amount of points. Each modifer you enable before you start is worth a certain amount. You will need to complete it several times to unlock everything.
How do you play this on ps5
I beat the entirety of Kaycee’s mod without even knowing about the painting puzzle. It never even crossed my mind that you could get up from the table.
Lol. It can be frustrating to realize after you've already done things a harder way, but it's quite an accomplishment regardless.
You have to get up several times in the base game though. Why did you assume they removed that option for KM aha

I want tips and tricks not how to play the game
There may be something you're looking for later in the video, there's some time stamps in the description if you want to skip ahead to tips and tricks.
This game sucks. I've had probably 200 runs and haven't beat Leshy a single time.
Buddy, I'm sorry to tell you but that is not the game. That is you
no, YOU suck. this game is incredible and it sounds like it just isn’t meant for you
does going to title screen still work? did it 10 times at a fire and always got 2 upgrades on ringworm lol
It works, but the outcome will always be the same. In your example, they will keep giving out two upgrades. Resetting in that scenario would just allow you to swap out the card you're putting in. @@Guidehogger the video was clear brother you did a great job i just misunderstood figured it out later haha
