Thank you Akash, I was former Audio engineer, I really like the way you explained. I'm considering to move back to Audio domain, your videos helping me to refresh my memory.
You’ve had this a lot from people, but I have to show my respect to you, man you’ve made the best educational videos out there for audio engineering! Much respect to your generosity and intellectuality!
Hi, I've been teaching this stuff at undergraduate level introcutory music technology classes for musicians for many years now. I am allways looking for new materials as extra reading/viewing for the students, so I've seen a lot of stuff in books and online. Your series is THE BEST video series I've come across in all these years to explain digital audio and related subjects. I am really impressed by the clarity and flow of your explantions and the quality of the suporting illustrations and animations. AMAZING! CONGRATS!
After viewing the sine origin and this playlist, I feel my hunger to understand it grows. So beautiful presentation and simplicity made me curious like I was 10 year old boy. Great work!
You really are a great teacher, you understand everything clearly so you can teach it to others and illustrate every step with animations to really increase the chance for others to understand these concepts. I learn more about digital audio through your videos than i learned about the subject in school.
Thanks so much! :) The exercise of writing the script and animating, really forces me to get the facts right and understand these concepts better. So these videos help me more than anyone else 😅
@@akashmurthy My teacher told me, if you want to really learn something, teach it for others! :-) You really show that you understood every nuance of the subject, that you master it.
Watched the whole series after a friend recommended it to me. Really advanced my understanding of a few things I was a bit hazy about despite quite a lot of studying... Great teaching style and the graphics are excellent and make things so much clearer and easier to grasp... Thanks!
Akash, I subscribed to your channel. Man, your series is awesome. Great explanations, graphics, and more. It's like getting an education for sure. I'm a radio broadcasting guy that does an online show now and the things I'm learning from your channel is amazing. I knew the basics but your in depth teaching of these subjects has taught me so much. Keep up the good work. I'm highly impressed!
Phenomenal delivery and pacing of information. This series is going to be my go-to recommendation for friends and students interested in recording technology.
Your understanding of the matter, and your ability to convey it to us in simple language is staggering, in and of itself. The fact that you also supply these invaluable visuals to further deepen our knowledge, and then make it all readily available to anyone interested leaves me wishing you the very best in life. You are a remarkable human being, and it's a pleasure to witness you and your work. Thank you!
Sir! That's high praise! Thank you very much for your comment, the way you articulated it left me a buzzed. Producing these have become a bit if a passion project of mine, and comments like yours push me to do more. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I came here after watching your explanation of dither (chapter seven). I am an audio professional too and I know many of the concepts, but your expositions are so clear that I've decided to watch the whole series. I occasionally teach as well, and the way you make your presentations is inspiring. Thank you for the time you’ve devoted to this. BTW, what tools do you use for your drawings? Blessings from Spain.
When I started at the BBC World Service, Radio in 2002, they handed me a reel of tape, a razor blade, a pen and some sticky tape. Then they said can you edit this. O_o I'd been using Cool Edit Pro for 4 years lol.
My man... You talked about how you could talk about how microphones work, do you have a video on that? I couldn't find one from my initial search of your channel, I don't know If I'm missing it.
Sorry, haven't gotten around to producing that yet. I've gotten myself too deep in other series to start a new one, so you probably won't be seeing that any time soon.
Thank you! Yes, I would definitely allow for more accessiblity. But not sure community translation is allowed anymore? I'm not sure. But we can discuss.
Hey! I want to say the answer is a philosophical one! But it isn't. The answer is no, there is no sound, when no one is around to hear it. www.nsta.org/q-if-tree-falls-forest-and-theres-no-one-around-hear-it-does-it-make-sound
yes, there is a sound, if a tree falls. May be the tree can hear it, itself. If anything falls apart, there is a sound, there must be a sound. God listens to this sound even if no one hears it. if a tree falls and if someone makes the body of guitar or any other instrument from its wood, that will later generate the sound of falling of a person, pain of breaking up, words never said to others in the form of a song that would be played on that wooden guitar. philosophically, you have no Idea how much sound a broken tree or a broken heart in alone can produce.

What about a cylinder or a lacquer disk? In which form would you catalogue the audio on those devices?
The same as vinyl I'd imagine. They are all a type of phonographic medium.
@@akashmurthy is it analog but physical? Mechanical? Acoustical?
