WOW WOW WOW. This group might be one of the best to do it. Vocals, Visuals, Theme, INCREDIBLE! Dreamcatcher BLEW US AWAY! Check out ChaseAndRem.com for exclusive content!
Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger!
I'm 42, had listened to a quite a lot of good music of various genres. Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lorna Shore to name a few. And these days I literally listen only to Dreamcatcher. They get even better the more you listen to them thoroughly.
Salute to you for picking up on the message of this song / MV. Yes, this was in fact a commentary about the dark side of social media. But, there's another layer here as well. You'll notice that most of the members are shown with 2 different personas. This represents the fact that a lot of people will take on a second 'online' persona after they've been on social media for a while. An example of this would be the member that you mentioned reaching into the computer screen. If you pay attention you will see her earlier in the video dressed in normal clothing and later in the video you will see her in a more outlandish outfit with stickers all over her face. Again if you pay attention you'll also notice that the members all have 2 different color eyes. This depicts the 2 personalities living in one body. The member at the very start of the video, the one in the mask chair, starts out with normal eyes but later in the video she 'drinks the koolaid' (i.e. buys into the lies/glamour/etc of social media) and she too develops an odd eye. As ivyshy98 mentioned, the odd eye also distorts reality. The more you are exposed to social media, the more you become susceptible to the dark side of social media. And yes, this was the last part of a trilogy. The other 2 songs in the trilogy are Scream and Boca (the Spanish word for mouth).
Dreamcatcher truly delivers one of the most beautiful visuals when it comes to MVs, ever since the beginning (2017)! If you guys liked this song and MV, I'd also highly recommend watching Deja Vu and BeCause, since they have their own storylines. Other than that, their whole Apocalipse Trilogy (Maison, Vision and Bonvoyage) is still quite recent and also pretty much worth checking out.

Thanks for checking out Odd Eye. You've already been given a bunch of information on Odd Eye and the story. Looking forward to part 3 which is Scream I assume.
Oh yeah, DC has this classic bit...they only do the verse two times in a song. Go and listen to their songs and they only do the verse two times in a song. Tiny Dancer is repeated-ad nauseum. Faith No More repeated Manstruated Heart-ad nauseum. She's in Love With the Boy country repeated ad naseuem. Dreamcatcher so compitent and so confident, just two times a chorus in a song.
My hat is off to you guys. You figured out the primary meaning behind the MV and song. Yes, this was a commentary on the dark side of social media. However, there is another layer here as well. You'll note that the members of the group portray 2 difference personas. For example, the member that reaches into the computer monitor. The first time we see her (at about 0:35 in the MV) she is wearing normal clothing. Later we see her in an outlandish outfit with stickers all over her face. Another example would be the member in the pale blue dress (at about 1:38) is later seen in much darker clothing. This depicts that, quite often, people will develop an 'online' persona, one that is very different from what they are in real life. We also see how social media can have a negative impact on peoples' lives. We see how the first member I mentioned (with the stickers) ends having her life burning down around her and the member in the pale blue dress looks like she's trying to choke herself. This song and MV is actually the last part of a trilogy called the Dystopia Trilogy. These songs together depict how the internet, which could have been a utopia filled with information, entertainment and the ability to communicate with people all over the world, is not the utopia we hoped it could be. In fact, a large part of it turned into a dystopia of cyber bullying, misinformation, scams and lies. The other two songs in the trilogy are Scream and Boca (the Spanish word for mouth). Dreamcatcher, in general, tend to address a lot of social issues with their title tracks. Their last trilogy, the Apocalypse Trilogy, was a commentary on how we, the human race, are destroying our planet. Other songs have dealt with loneliness, anxiety, depression and so on. There's a lot of depth to this group. They are also considered to be one of the most unique groups in kpop. Anyway, I could go on and on but I'll stop here. This comment is already long enough. Note: You mentioned that you had reacted to one of their other songs. At the time I am typing this that reaction had not been uploaded. If I referred to that other song in this comment, well, just know that I have not seen that reaction yet. PS: Once word gets out, expect a lot of InSomnias (Dreamcatcher fans) to show up. We're a very avid, yet chill, fandom and we love it when new people discover Dreamcatcher.
Hey guys. We reacted to three dreamcatcher songs recently, but this was the first one that got published. The others are on their way down the pipe. Stay tuned:)
dreamcatcher \:D/ most dreamcatcher lyrics are abstract enough they can be interpreted in many ways but they always provide enough imagery in their videos to help guide fans to their true intent. you guys actually did pick up on the imagery and the song (and the dystopia trilogy which odd eye is the final installment) is indeed negative critique of the internet/social media. for those that fall too deep into the hole, they develop an odd eye which distorts their perception of reality. the dystopia trilogy was likely inspired by a series of very high profile singer suicides in korea in the years preceding of its release, some directly linked to negative online interaction. just curious what the other dreamcatcher song you checked out was?

Based on your reactions I think you'd love Deja Vu. The set is phenomenal and the lyrics is just truly beautiful.
Wow.. really. If you people can understand the lyrics and the visuals, you people will love this group.
ODD EYE is musical heroin to me. In my skin, in my flesh, in my brain. There is nothing else like it.
Dreamcatcher is my top favorite K-pop group. Thanks.
