Its even more emotional if you think about the sentence “ik kan alleen zingen”(i can only sing) and the fact that miss montreal stutters when she talks. I love this song and her version ❤️
This song went on to become a #1 in the charts in the netherlands. And it is clear why. Beautiful, sensitive and powerful. Love that your checking out so much more of this show. Keep it up.
Stef Bos is a much loved and respected singer-songwriter in the Netherlands. The impact of his lyrics is always very deep. Love him. And Sanne (miss Montreal) is such a talented artist, that I know we are going to be hearing a lot more from her. She will always give an honest performance, without holding back.
This song is really special to me. I lost my mother almost a year ago and they played this song on her funeral. One of the first times I heard it and its now my favorite. Cant stop listening to it. Also because Miss Montreal only sings in English and now she is singing in Dutch. And to hear the real meaning of the song makes it even more special. Now I can feel her emotions much better. Best Singer in The Netherlands❤
4:38 Her singing "I would like to scream but I can only sing" is so incredibly powerful, because she stutters quite seriously, although it does not hold here back to participate in shows like this, she is not affected by the stuttering when she sings.
I'm reliving the whole performance again. I've seen it once and heard the song a thousand times on the radio since. But hearing and seeing it through this channel takes it away to another level. It hit's me so hard, can't describe. Blown away, thank you for starting this channel. I've said this before, but i love your reactions and commentary, because they're from your guts.
This is Stef Bos on the central spot, a really senior respected Singer songwriter, het was also on the episode of the Eurovision song contest where floor sang Euphoria, and Floor had covered 'Is dit nu later' from him. This year of Beste Zangers was a year with real Singer songwriters, much is done in Dutch but they are all storytellers and made a lot of of the songs so personal for the central guest, much more than other years. I really really appriciated the complete shows so i'm glad you add intro's and outro's it adds so much! Thank you for your reactions!
Lost both my parents withinn a year now 5 years ago, this song makes me emotional every time, most difficault is not visiting them ever again.Just this song makes me stronger. Miss Montreal en Steff Bosch duet that was so beautifull.
Thank you for this beautiful song by Miss Montreal. This is very sensitive, tears ran down my cheeks. I lost my dear son 2 years ago and I am still sad. my Heart is broken 💔 Thank you for the wonderful response, you are also a sensitive man and you can see it 😪😪
I saw this on tv when it was broadcasted. I walked away 'cos it made me break down completely as my mum had just been diagnosed with ( incurable) cancer. Against all odds, she is still with us but every day she's alive has become a bonus. And then my dad passed away 3 months ago, completely unexpected. Without being able to say goodbye to each other. He was my hero and I was a real 'daddy's girl'.This song hurts. When it's played on the radio I turn the radio off. But I really wanted to see/hear your reaction because it IS a fantastic song. And I was actually doing pretty okay( keeping my focus on you and not on the song.)Until... you started to talk about losing parents and that you feel for those who have lost a parent.🥺😢😭😭. But I love your reaction! Pure and honest as always. Tomorrow it's fathersday over here. My first one without him... It's gonna hurt like hell💔. Will you do me a favour? Give your mum and dad a extra hug and kiss next time you see them? For all of us that can't do that anymore....❤.
@@ingridwatsup9671 Thank you. Seriously, thank you 🙏🙏 I know he is my Guardian angel, I can sense his presence...sometimes it helps, sometimes it only makes me miss him even more.
Sanne (miss Montreal) was a little bit underated in my opinion. But after beste zangers..people started to appreciate her music more. She sings from the heart and she has an amazing personality. And she stutters when she speaks but that didn't hold her back, a lot of respect. And Stef bos.. amazing song writer. He ain't a normal singer...he is kinda a story teller. It's almost like slow rap combined singing... He has a very unique style of singing

Love your reaction to all these amazing Dutch artists !! Keep up the great work !!
Last december when i had to rush to The hospital where my dad was about to die, this was the first song that played on the radio….. such a special song for me❤️
I watched this a couple of times and this song….it’s a gem. Knowing the story behind it, made it all the more meaningful to me. You’re blessed if you still have your parents! Not a day goes by that I don’t think of mine. 🌷🌷🌷
Lost my dad 3 years ago and to be honest is known this song already. But thanks to you I took the time to really listen to it. I made me cry while I'm in the train from work. Man what a song.
Sanne (miss Montreal is her stage name) is the sweetest person ever! She is honest, gives so much love and is so humble. I hope you'll check out more of her songs on beste zangers and outside of Beste zangers. ❤️
Thank you for translating this song. As a Dutch guy, the words hold different significance. I hadn't heard it before it was played at my dad's funeral. Its impact was phenomenal. This song hits hard, even years later, it still breaks me down. Today, I can't stop crying. Life has been unforgiving, but thinking of my dad, I realize now, as a father myself, everything he did for me. My gratitude is endless at this moment.
I am from the Netherlands. And this is my absolute favorite show. My second favorite show is now you reacting on this 🙈. I love how you see the beauty in this show and in the people. Check out Portland's version of this song for the show Liefde voor Muziek - the Belgian version of this show. They translated this song into English and sing it in a very understated way. I love Miss Montreal's version. Portland version is different but provides everyone with the English lyrics.
Hi, This one has subtitles as well, so I could understand it. Please add your suggestions to the googleform. You can find it under every video or in the about section. Thanks PS not all the songs are available for a reaction as some of them on the Belgian version got blocked.

I’ve noticed you’ve never react to our very Good singer ‘Maan’. She has also participated in one of the seasons of beste zangers. Songs as ‘nessun dorma’ of ‘jij bent de liefde’ ( translation: you are the love) are very nice and a must watch for you!!
Miss Montreal did wunderfull days. @ serious request. Original happy hard-core song by mental theo. You'll love the 2 performing in the glass house.
♥️♥️♥️
Much like Floor, everyone of Miss Montreal's performances were exceptional!
