Very good video, i like the lack of useless commentary. I hate the recent trend of videos of people pointing at things and twisting their fingers around. You show all the work and how things are done. This is one of my favorite square body videos.
Very calming watching your video. No loud music, which is nice. I appreciate all the editing that has gone into this. I just bought a 1994 GMC Sierra, this video has been very helpful Cheers.
Thanks and good luck with your project. I want to restore a OBS one day. Mabey a 1996 short bed step side. The OBS trucks are starting to look better and better every day.
Thanks for that. The same chalk mark is also on the front differential cover. That is interesting to know. That truck was probably built and out the doors by 7am. Did you work at a plant that built these trucks?
I wished I could do this on my own with your confidence. My coolant is puddling on the backside of the engine block. I have been told its the intake manifold. However I did have a question. You changed just about every gasket and ring, was there a reason you didnt check the thermostat? Its no biggie, you knew what you were doing. I was just curious. I will be watching this video multiple times so I can fix mine. Appreciate your hard work!
Excellent work on that square body. But if you had to replace intake gaskets why didn't you just give it an upgraded high-rise intake and a K&N air filter. It's better for the engine if it breathes better. Anyway, I love these trucks, and it's nice to see one still as close to original as possible.
This truck is painfully slow and some performance upgrades would do it some good but it does run like a sewing machine so I am going to keep it stock and just putt around town in it. Its pretty cool to open the hood and the engine compartment looks like it just left the factory in Detroit.

Refreshing to see a stock chevy.
Thanks
The number on the firewall was the build sequence number. Nice work on the truck , looks and runs amazing.

@@4x4mikey I did for a few years before I left to work at Caterpillar . I worked at the Flint plant.
That is cool. I don't know if you have seen the video on the 1984 k10 I am working on now but it was built in flint. @@OrangeGuyBlows

The thermostat was good so I left it alone. Thanks
I won't mind if you do a little narration. Don't be shy. You do good work here.

Was that a paper towel left inside driverside head middle? Heat port?

It’s possible. It was spitting and sputtering last week. I thought it might be bad gas. I will have to go back and look at the video.
