Despite Itabashi being good I REALLY wanted to see Momochi go far. It seems like he has to work SO hard now to make Ken work and he was doing ok.
The commentators made a point about the competitive scene where you really should be a multi-character specialist...
Neither of these guys have ever been multi-character/counter-pick players. They both stick to what they know and develop their game (as far as I've seen). That can be just as valuable as someone who plays multiple characters.
Itazan has been loyal to Gief since SFV season 1... that's saying a lot. He deserved the win just as much as Momochi.

Well, you can't really make that assumption. They could have shook hands as soon as the Super landed.
Still wish thete was no stun bar. It being random before was so much more exciting. That way you wouldn't know when you'll get stunned and your opponents wouldn't know either.
The mechanic is unchanged, now it’s just visually represented to every player/spec.
I think the devs wanted the players to play strategically around the stun bar.
So now when someone is about to be stunned his opponent will play aggressively and will take risk cause the risk/reward ratio is worthy.
It's more exciting to watch IMO. Of course, to each their own.

why do they keep saying "hit confirm". What the hell does that mean? I think it is obvious when an opponent is hit.. why not just say "hit"?
KingsRight if you do the entire combo and they block then it's unsafe and they can punish you. so they only do the beginning part and if they see the first part hit they finish it. if not they don't finish the combo so it's safe.
they're trying to make it classy lool
