I'm sure Brewdog did a strong beer called Sink The Bismarck which was around 55% but this is crazy land. I appreciate the novelty factor and I'm grateful you took one for the team. Cheers!
I don't believe there is a legal classification for ABV in beer in the US, so I think here it can still be considered a beer. However, I do know some countries do have that ABV classification which would make this a spirit. Either way it was definitely closer to a spirit than a beer. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm thinking fortified means they added alcohol to the beer, prob at the end stage. When you fortify something you add to an existing thing. Which would also fortify or guarantee the outcome .🤔🇺🇲🇺🇦💙
Given that this product has been *Freeze Distilled*, it would be quite easy to find out what it tastes like as a 'normal' beer. I would think that if you diluted it down to, say..7% ABV or so with a good quality filtered water and kegged it, it would then be close to what it started out as. Just my thoughts. Skål!
That is an interesting idea. I think the water would have to be distilled so it was mineral and dissolved solids free. The hard part would be figuring out how much carbonation was actually in the base beer. Thanks for watching and commenting. I have an even crazier beer I hope to have time to review soon....
@@gingeryetiroadbeers I doubt that the base was even carbonated at all. Why go through the process of carbonation only to freeze it & have the CO2 gas off? However, carbonation does affect the pH level of the brew (carbonic acid), but how much remains after the freezing process I don't know. Every time I had a beer freeze on me, the result was always flat & dull(?) tasting. I would just go ahead & use a good quality filtered water & call it a day. If a person wanted to get Super scientific about it, lab analysis of the water used at the manufacturer would be required & then adjust the mineral profile to match. To me, way too much trouble. Skål!
I have bever heard the term beirschnapps. I like that. That is a good description of this. I could not even finish a 355ml bottle of it, I cant imagine a 40 of it
My first time watching this channel…and pardon me if this topic has been broached. Is it me, or does the guy in glasses look and sound like Seth Rogen ?? I may be suffering from a tryptophan overdose.
Can anyone explain how this is possible to reach this alcohol level through brewing alone. Surely this has to of been distilled to reach this level. And if it has then it is a spirit not a beer. Even the guy said it’s whiskey it tastes like whiskey.
Supposedly they freeze ferment it and then it is fortified. Which is cheating in my opinion. It did start out as a beer, but I wouldn't really call this a beer. Thanks for stopping by!
It's a process called *Freeze Distillation*. You brew a Large quantity of beer and then just simply freeze it. The water separates out as ice and the liquid that is left is much higher in alcohol concentration. The concept is very similar to normal distillation in as much as you are separating alcohol and water. Cook the mash, collect & condense the alcohol vapors & you get raw whiskey. Freeze the beer, discard the ice(water), & you get raw whiskey. Heat distillation results in a colorless alcohol concentration, freeze distillation results in less color loss. In no way is a separate, high ABV liquid added to the final product. Hope this helps. Skål!
You are correct, sort of. Beithir Fire is stronger at 75%, however, to my understanding the alcohol content in Snake Venom has been independently tested and certified. Beithir Fire has not gone through that process allowing Snake Venom to still claim to be the Worlds Strongest Beer. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you for checking out the video and commenting. I LOVE Whitechapel!!! I also work for them. They are an amazing band!! Have you checked out their new song Visceral Retch?

Awesome Video Dude , still laughing now , drank it like a Pro 🤘😎🎸

AH yes I know hat that beer is now. Paul from PA brewnews mentioned it but i did not recognize the name. It was fun to try!
Love the reactions! I couldn’t imagine this being very good, but I’d try it for the novelty too. Cheers!
It is definitely a novelty. ITs more like a whiskey than anything
You’re dipping back into that all the time Yeti 😂 TKs face is just ‘nope’ 😅
I like good whiskey, so I will definitely drink this again over time. TK. Not so much
At that sort of ABV it is no longer legally classified as a beer it is a high strength spirit !

When we had Sink the Bizmark we all had the same opinions you did. Novelty
I haven't heard of that one surprisingly.
I'm sure they did another crazy ABV beer called Nuclear Penguin 😂
Super cool to try, but def a one and done.
Thanks for sharing this one with me!
My pleasure!
Watched on TKs channel already (it popped up first) but re-watching again here for your watch hours. Cheers!!
Much appreciated!
only 1 man card was in possession during the making of this content.
🤣🤣🍺🍻 Thanks for checking out the video and taking the time to comment.
Boooooozy🍻I am glad you reviewed and not me😂🍻
It was fun to try!
Nice one guys, now the 2nd strongest but would give it a go for science, lol. Awesome video, Cheers!🍻
Thank you! Cheers!

I believe you are correct. Kind of cheating really. Thanks for watching and stopping by! Cheers!
Taste like a butterfly's eye brow!!!...LOL
Glad that gave you a laugh! Some of the descriptions people use for beers are absurd! Thanks for stopping by
Sounded more gimmicky than enjoyable. Bucket list to have but debatable to finish. Curious to know what you thought after it sat out for a bit.
It's definitely gimmicky and a novelty. If you like good, high proof whiskey it's not that bad. I don't think it's a beer though
How come u didnt have one each😂...blimey good effort lads😂
There is no way I could convince TK to have a whole one to himself. 🤣🤣
Holy crap! 💩 That ABV is crazy! I would try it! Cheers 🍻 gents!
This stuff was like whiskey!
Great adventure to try but I'm glad I didn't buy it now 😀 Is it a beer though? Nice one guys 👍🤘🍺
I would not call it a beer, but I guess it is technically. Kind of lame that they "fortified" it to bring the ABV up.
@@gingeryetiroadbeers Yeah. Port and Sherry are fortified wines and they're delicious. This sounds a bit too like a gimmick but it's fun. 👍

@@larryakre5942 would the base have some natural carbonation just from the brewing process?
Awesome! CHEERS

Beirschnapps or Beerschnapps it’s what it’s called . That’s how you find it , but usually in 40s ABV .
I have bever heard the term beirschnapps. I like that. That is a good description of this. I could not even finish a 355ml bottle of it, I cant imagine a 40 of it

I like to brew and distill . This beirschnapps , or beerschnapps is not considered a whiskey . It’s like a nasty moonshine . 😂😂
hell yeah
Cheers 🍻
Thanks for watching!
Officer I only had 1 beer!!
The cops would never believe you 🤣🤣 Thanks for stopping by!
Great review! That shit is stronger than wild turkey! Cheers 🍻!

Something I would definitely pass on. Lol sounds awful to me. Better you 2 greats then me!!! Very Interesting though. Cheers fellas
It is not for the faint of heart 🤣 its more like whiskey then beer.
