I have a couple of these. They are a little bit directional leaving some areas warmer and others colder so you may need to point it but it is a wonderful heater as once it is on you ignore it. Yes it doesn't heat air it heats objects. Then the objects once warmed help maintain the heat in the room. I love this item!
I use infrared heaters to supplement my central heat. I had one heater that went bad last year. I replaced it with that Dr. Heater. I’ve been using it in my living room and I like it!
Ive used only infared heaters in my house for yrs because I have ceiling heat and its super expensive to use, using heaters like these have helped me tremendously but they do wear out.Its been worth it though.
I have struggled for several years to get good seasoned firewood for my heat stove, but have ended up totally frustrated. Now, I am looking at the very heater you just showed on your video. I wish I had more insulation in this building, but I am heavily insulating the cabin I'm building. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks for watching. Glad the video helped. According to their website, these are the dimensions: Height:15" Width:13" Depth:12". Electric Cord: 72" long. Amps: 12.5
The example shown has the heater on a bench. Heating objects in visual line of the heater there won't help warm objects under the bench. Placement is very important to get just the right value of this heater for any space. I keep mine on the floor so it heats objects near my feet and the rest is in turn heated as heat rises.
I think it would've been a little more helpful to do the review of the heater in the normal mode instead of eco. It might have done the job if it wasn't throttled back from the eco setting. Not trying to be a hard ass but I still dont know how good it works on full power.
Thanks for watching and leaving the comment! We tried it in normal mode too. It definitely helps take the chill off in that large unfinished basement area. But it isn't designed to heat an area that large/uninsulated.
I have 4 of these I keep 1 in my 28 ft rv it keeps it at 72 on eco outside it was 15°if you put it on high it heats faster then switch it to eco. The others one in 24x24 garage not insulated and keeps it at 67 it will heat 1000 sq ft o high at first then drop it to eco just eco alone at start won't help you we're in north east Pennsylvania the poconos
I suppose it depends on how sensitive a sleeper you are. It does definitely create a glow in the room, and there is some noise from the fan. Personally -I’ve never tried to sleep in the room where this heater is used. I do wonder if the light would keep me awake - I like it pretty dark. But the noise definitely would not bother me. I prefer a fan or the air conditioner running.
I have had one for over 15 years ( I and then had to get a newer model). It has a reservoir which is filled with water. Does it need to always have water?
Came across this video. Towards the end you said NW Penna. what town are you in? We’re over here north Mercer county and considering one of these since electricity has gone up 46% this past year
Glad you enjoyed the video. We are in the same vicinity. Our electricity hasn't gone up that much - thankfully! Our house all electric (no natural gas heat), so we supplement our heating with a wood stove and a pellet stove.
I like that little heat a week up one again this year and it works like a charm. It Heats up the kitchen for us. So we don't have to use propane. We have a word burnished over in the back den that hates the rest of the house. This place is 3000 square feet. That heater in the fireplace is about. All we need to keep it around seventy eight degrees
This is definitely an indoor use only heater. It’s not made for outdoor use. I did not notice the cord getting hot when I used it. You’ll want to make sure you use it with an outlet/curcuit rated heavy enough for the heater. Thanks for watching!
We’d certainly appreciate if you’d use the Amazon link in the description if you’re buying them! As far as safety - I’m not sure how to answer that. I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer or checking their website to see what it says. I don’t know if they’re intended to run 24/7 week after week, month after month. That’s a good question. Maybe there is a customer service number you can contact.
Just set the degrees to something lower when you're leaving the house so it can shut off automatic, leave it at 60 and when you get home go up to 68. It should reach 60 while you're gone and auto shut off and on throughout the day
I'm honestly not sure. I've never tried another brand that look like this. I know I have seen some other brands that look very similar - but have no experience with them. Great question. Keep us posted if you purchase the Edenpure version. Thanks!
That’s a great question - thank you for asking. The answer is no. It does not automatically come back on. Even though the Power button is still pushed in, you have to press the right hand button (by Eco) to turn the heater back on. At least, that was my experience with the unit I had. Thanks for watching and asking.
We just sent you an email... We would love for your honest review on our infrared heater. Ours makes 2x more heat than almost every other infrared heater on the market, using the same amount of heat. Hope to hear back from you!
I have purchased three Heat4Less over the past few weeks. One for me and two others for family members. I have used MANY infrared heaters but there is no comparison to Heat4Less. They are fantastic! You can use the remote to set a desired heating time. Then it will turn off after that amount of time. You can also set the desired temperature and the ECO feature will turn the heat on and off as needed. It's a pretty smart little heater.
@@PurpleCollarLife Thank you, ours cut its self off randomly so we unplugged it for a while in case it got too hot, checked the filter, etc., plugged it back in. It went for a little while and then cut off again so I was just wondering if you ran into the same issues or not. Thank you for responding.
Fun fact: these units aren’t a true infrared heater. The company who makes them lie and they use a standard ptc (ceramic) heating coil in the bottom for most of their output, and a single quartz element where you can see it to make you think it’s a full infrared heater. How do I know this, I had one that the quartz tube quit in it but somehow it kept blowing out warm air, so I tore it down. These units are basically a 20 dollar heater being sold at a major premium….complete false advertising.
I’m not sure what square foot area they claim it will heat. I do know that it will take the chill off in that unfinished basement you see in the video. But it certainly won’t heat the space to a comfortable level on it’s own.
Most people don't know there is zero difference between 120 volt electric heaters. ALL of them have a max rating (by law for safety) of 1500 watts. Some may be less wattage, like the compact models, but the max amount of power is always limited to 1500 watts. Since electric heaters are about 99%+ efficient converting electricity to heat, that means there is zero difference between any model heater. Power(heat) out is heat out. Period. Save your money buying "name brands" and just buy a UL listed model with 1500 max watts.
Sounds like maybe you have too much on that circuit (other appliances or lights on the same breaker/fuse) or maybe your wiring does have enough capacity to power the heater?
Just look at your breaker and see what's on what change location of the heater if it's on the same line or breaker as others high watt appliances. I had the same issue

Just bought two of these for our mountain cabin as an alternate to running expensive propane in the Winter. Excited!
Excellent! Great idea. I think you'll like the heat they put out. Does your mountain cabin have a fireplace or wood stove?
The thing about infrared heaters it doesn't heat the air directly no it heats the objects like you for example or certain surfaces
How was it?
Don't know yet what the electric bill will be this month, but I've been using this in eco mode to hear about 1000 sq ft and it does great 👍

How well do they do at temperature accuracy?

I wish the remote could turn the heater on. But it can only turn it off and change the heat settings after you push the on button.
I thought the same thing. Maybe they worry that the remote button could be accidently pushed and turn the heater on when you didn't really want it on.
