    Coin….smaller and easier to sell on and no CGT on coins

    I dont think i could reasonably afford either but I've always preferred the flexibility with constitutional silver as well

    5 Kilo Bar all day. I’m surprised anyone chose that 1 kilo. 😅

    Here in the UK I would go for the coin. No capital gains tax on coins as there legal tender.

      In the US I go with the Bar. Do not like Charles Love the Brits, I 'm married to one 49 years.... No tax in the US either in some states. Joey Biden wants Capital gains on it good luck.

    I would be interested in more videos like these. Like "Which would you buy? 1 10oz bar or 10 1oz bars or 10 1oz coins?"

    Nice video. I've been considering adding one of these kilo coins to my collection.

    Depending on why I’m buying it really. For the silver content, the kilo bar. For the silver content and collectible aspect of the investment, Britannia. I have the equipment to melt the bar down if needed and mark them.

    I would invest more in silver bullion but the premium and vat is an issue.

    Can someone explain this to me. Why I should buy silver with a 20%VAT. Its going to take several years before I make a return?
    Or am i looking at this incorrectly?

    Dear BYB, I am more into the Kilo coin. I have a tiger one I shown on a recent video. I would be SO HONORED if you went to see it. It is my only Kilo Coin. My other few Kilos are bars. I don't see any reason to go beyond a kilo for an individual with normal range of income. TY for giving us awesome videos.

    Interesting conundrum, I have 10oz coins and 10oz bars, all are great designs from the Royal Mint, Great engravers, Queens Beasts and Tudor Beast.
    At one point I had a 1kg Queens Beasts Completer that I was pleased to off load for 3 x 10oz coins ++.
    However, to sort of answer the question, I think 10oz is quite big enough for a silver product.

    I like the kilo coin for their aesthetic look even though the premium is a little higher.

    3 Coin rather than 1 bar 1) bar easier to fake harder to test a bar especially one that thick 2) bar has CGT liabilities in uk whereas coin doesnt. 3) less liquid than coin due to readon 1 +2 4) cant divise 1 bar if not all its value is needed when liquidating

    Both too big, 5kg bar looks beautiful but way too big and its not that cheap per oz compared to 1kg bars or smaller. Issue i have with the larger coins is they're not really coins they're way too big. Same with 10oz coins, they just look wrong to me . But each to their own. Storage space is an issue for me at moment so I'll go for bars having said that im buying coins recently. Just cant help myself 🥺🤗

    The one kilo coin is approximately twice the price of an umicore 1 kilo bar, the 5 kilo bar might have a low premium because of the volume of it, but it isn't cost effective. The 5 kilo bar would be purchased to sell, as nothing is purchased to hold until you die; Having said that you would need someone, ( a rare thing ) with enough cash or willingness to want to buy a 5 kilo bar, to be able to sell it on. This video is running as I am typing so will probably say pretty much the same thing as this video might, ( presumptuous i know , but common sense dictates my buying ) . Personally I thought 1000 ounces would be a good base to start with, so i went for 16 one kilo bars and then moved on to buying 1oz Britannia's in 32's, ( closest to an kilo i could get ) . I feel liquidity is an important factor, so 1 kilo bars are afordable and the 1oz coins can either be sold in 1's, 25's or 32 at a time depending on what i choose to do. I don't have a big budget and for me 1 kilo umicore bars are the cheapest over spot option i can afford, and for liquidity i went for Britannia's as they sell for a great price individually as well as can be sold in the tubes of 25.

    Sales tax when you buy....
    Capital gains tax if you do ever make any money.

      I've researched the price of both gold and silver in both USD and GBP for every 1,2,3,5,10,15,20,25,30 year period since the end of gold standard there is one clear metal that wins the vast majority of the time

    • @seminumismaticguy8575
      @seminumismaticguy8575 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Memee833 not specifically no as it's a very limited occurrence in both frequency and duration which is impossible to predict with any accuracy, so it's highly unlikely you will need to buy or sell at those times. The several hundred datasets in my research probably includes that more and is far more representative. Gold will still out perform silver in that scenario as silver gains will be limited by the reduced industrial demand .

    • @Memee833
      @Memee833 ปีที่แล้ว

      @seminumismaticguy8575 agree gold over silver, but still have a look at the % of both after the stock market big falls, whether a short, or over a longer period. k
