I’m not saying Ivory Coast and Nigeria music is not good, I’m just sayin it wasn’t that Popular back then it was more known in the western countries of Africa. Come on now, I’m 30 years old. Came in the State 2000. But when I was in Africa as a kid, I knew koffi, Awilo, papa wempa, werrason, zaiko langa langa, yondo sista, and the list so go on. Lucky dube of South Africa, Chaka Chaka and the list so go on. If I didn’t name any artist from your area then I’m sorry maybe they wasn’t known all over Africa by then...then you should give the benefit of respect where is due. And they’re music is not even compared to today’s. The reason why I still think congo music is still the best because they still going traditionally like before they didn’t change it and a lot of Africans still love it.
