I’m a 69 year old man….. this song speaks life to me….. I seen all kinds of ups and downs…. Lost Jobs … had cancer… Hard times come go and they’re just gonna come again… up just suck it up… ❤️
When I was younger I remember listening to Bruce Springsteen with my mom when we would go places. This is one of my favorite songs of his, although I don’t really have a favorite; I love all of his songs. And for some reason, the other night I had an impulse to listen to some of Bruce’s music, I started with this. And I was instantly drowned in nostalgia... it’s been at least a half a decade since I’ve last listened to Bruce Springsteen. And when I was little I always took it for granted. But now I’m sixteen, rapidly approaching seventeen faster than I can even comprehend, and listening to this song, and many other of Bruce’s hits, I have a ton of memories coming back to me. And it’s scary that I’m growing up, I remember when I was 8, listening to Bruce in the car with my mom. But now I’m in the car by myself, behind the wheel. It’s scary to think how close I am to adulthood.
This song has gotten me through some tough times. Keep truckin!
As a guy who was also born in the swamps of Jersey, this song resonates with me in so many ways. Reminds me how strong, resilient, and tough we Jersey folks are. Like the former Giants Stadium for which the song was written, long after we're gone that strength of our spirit will endure. This could be an anthem for anyone from NJ, but beyond that, it's a rally call to anyone who needs it.
This is the perfect song to get up in the morning and shout to the sun: I´m alive !!!! Thank you, Boss !!!!
Last night in Barcelona the whole stadium SCREAMED at this. Thanks Bruce for making all us happier.
To what ever challenges you in life.."Bring on your Wrecking Ball"... nothing better!
My God, the one and only, my Sir, my motivation, my foot on the ground
My fav bruce is when he gets a bit angry. Darkness, Nebraska, Tom Joad, The Rising and all that good stuff
Heard Bruce sing this in Edinburgh, Scotland last night. Awesome!
