There,s not so many people like we are ....I have exactly the same problem what you...59,5cm round oval...I had chance to try the Arai Concept XE in the xl size and it fit my head perfectly!

Arai also do a pro fit service which even if you think it fits I’d still spend the money on a couple of months after you have the helmet and the pads brake in a bit

13:30 I strongly agree with you, I just bought shoei neotec 3 and it is very very bad helmet for anyone with brachycephalic (short head : what we call "round head"). I fixed it a little by using dishwashing sponge/foam in various areas but still bad. Bad investment ever made. I'm happy with my old shark evo gt modular helmet

If you can go to a store that do the Shoei PFS, done a really good job on my spr-pro… but the XLite still just fits right! I’m going with the x804 and hope that sponge ratchet that’s not in the new won’t be an issue; seems to fit right when sitting in the lid in the shop so we will see hours in on the bike!

really useful info,,, I like Scuberths ,, I have 3 my first was the C3 its very comfy,, I then bought an open lid a M1 same size ,again comfy,,, then I bought a C4 same size, omg the pain of that helmet ,, I even took a hammer and a piece of wood to knock a high spot down all to no avail... My Mrs now wears the C4 and I stick with the C3,, regards

Great info. May I ask for a link for the foam ear plugs with built in 3.5mm jack?
What are you going to do with all the other helmets?

Sure buddy it is here: www.plugfones.com/product/basic/ but you can also find them on eBay or Amazon. They are not foam but silicone, however they do do foam versions.
I sold off my other helmets, I am now down to 3! 🙈

Outstanding video. So will my Cardo JBL ear phones & mic fit in an ex lite 803 ultra carbon.

They will, but if they will put pressure on your ears only you can tell after trying. I use the plugfones as the speakers put pressure for me.

@@yodomcat thanks for your reply mate. I’m currently using an Arai but looking for a new helmet. I guess I’ll take a punt & see how it goes. Keep the video’s coming, your presentation is brilliant. Tuning in from Australia 🇦🇺 👍🏼

Hi Sir I'm glad that I found this video,I'm having the same issue too, stuck in the middle between (56)S/M with unique head shape, bought a arai rx7x,was advised by shop assistant to get a S so that it will break in soon but it didn't and I'm having hotshots only on my fore head, its been 2 months, should i get M on the same model or should wait for it to break in? Some bikers advise me to give it some time to break in I've no intention of changing brand, thank you

If you bough Arai you can change the padding. Go back to a shop that can do this for you. Sounds like you want a thinner liner.
In some Arais you can strip the padding back yourself. Also don’t be afraid to roughly push the point that is giving you a hot spot with your thumbs to mould the foam away.
I am certain a shop can fix this with the correct padding. 👍🏻

Bought a small, thought it was fine in the store... Guess not. I got home, shook it a bit, and it wasn't snug at all. Was able to shake about an inch to both sides and wanted to fall down to where my eyebrows were covered but not my eyes.
I can't return it to the store, they don't accept returns for helmets. Should I sell it on FB or something and buy an xSmall??

    • @yodomcat
      @yodomcat  ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah you can sell Facebook or eBay. Next time you’re in store have the person help with fitting. Then sit in the helmet for 30min (if you don’t get a hotspot by then you should be ok). Also ask the store if they will let you take the helmet home and not ride in it return the next day and that way you have some more breathing room (some will, most won’t). 👍🏻

I’m in the same situation, got a shark Spartan, good fit but hotspots on the forehead and low back of the helmet, funny shape head :(

Find an expert in shoei/Arai and see if they can custom fit you, but do try the x803 as it’s the one that worked for me 👍🏻

Nope, tried the whole range. Nose touches the front and too tight.
