    Since the temperature is adjustable on the front panel the mechanical cutout is regulating in case the electronics get unresponsive. There's also a thermal fuse in the heating element, a last resort when all else fails.

    The heater is running on AC. In that case it's a TRIAC on the heatsink. The transformer is too small for powering that heating element. I guess there's a small TRIAC for the fan and then the big on the heatsink for the heater.

      I completly agree on the triac for the heater. The fan looks to be relay controlled straight from Mains. I will get better pictures of the power board along with some part numbers. I had 10 minutes to film and prep for this video before other Biomeds come walking through the warehouse.
