Sometimes when I see what black women are doing to their hair I am outraged, but as a man I'm not sure of my 'right' to shout out about it. So hearing you chant this Mina - is like a breath of fresh air. And to see how powerful all of all those black women can be without saying a word, just by their presence is really inspiring. There is hope, Mina just goes from strength to strength. So all who have ears must hear, 'How can what is from you not be for you'. These are dread times. Peace.

    love!!
I look forward to the day that this natural hair movement no longer exists because thats when I will know that we have made it and that natural hair is no longer seen as something new or different but seen as what it is which is normal.
It's sad to think that we have been sleeping on this for so long, unknowingly living life incomplete, naturally undoing our natural state.

Call me crazy but I use my straight hair to cover my face. It works like a curtain when I'm out in public. My natural hair doesn't do the job and makes me feel too exposed. Anywho those are my reasons ☺️ great message though!

Beautiful. Just imagine when they actually wake up thoe, and realize who they truly are!
Who they truly are as Princesses in the sight of the most high God YAHAWAH!
Princesses from the nation of Israel!
When they realize that "Black" is not a nationality, but a color!
We are not a color, but a Ppl, in fact THE Ppl! The Chosen Ppl of our God!
Imagine when they wake all the way up, realize they need to repent and turn back to their true identity, and start living by the word of God, actually, through faith and commandments!
Not dressing themselves up like whores, and allowing themselves to be treated like whores.
Men wake up, to the righteousness of the almighty God YAHAWAH, take our rightful places as kings of this earth, through faith in Christ and keeping the commandments.
And let's lead our woman and children to that which was promised to us, which is salvation!
    Wake up Israel, REPENT!
We are the Israelites, the chosen Ppl of the most high!

I like your poem "Let's be Honest." I agree with most of this poem too and appreciate you encouraging other black women to celebrate your natural beauty. This one statement, though, "It was a black woman that birthed all humanity," I disagree with. I don't think any of us can say with certainty what color Adam and Eve were. There wasn't any race besides just the human race at the time since all of us are derived from the two common people as I think the Bible says in Acts. Besides that - it seems to exalt one race over another. The statement naturally puts all others in a position of being children of the "black mother" - or under parental authority so to speak. It seems to lower those of non-African ancestry underneath those who are. If I'm understanding it rightly, then that one-upmanship would seem opposed to the overall spirit you shoot to convey. Thank you for letting me comment.

Shut up. The Eve Gene was traced back to an African Woman. The first and original people of this planet were black and nothing less. Also humans are not a race, they are a species. Get your facts straight before commenting, you sound awfully ignorant love.
