Ya know I’ve never been really into warrior cats but I’ve watch the Ready As I’ll Ever Be MAP like 18 times.
This song is so INTENSe so COOL. I always thought Varian was little bit wimpy but he just pulled a COMPLETE 180 there huh.
This song put me to test, lemme tell you. It’s another one of those that falls right in the break of my range. There’s also the fact that there’s like 12 different parts??? I didn’t think I could take on the original version voicing and singing all the different parts so I used K-Ty’s ( / @panpanni ) solo lyrics! I really love the way they were written and thought it’d fit perfectly. I will be making a full blown collab of this song so don’t you worry!

I have to say, the way you changed the lyrics so that it’s completely focused on Varian, really shows Varian wasn’t the bad guy, he was just driven to do bad things out of desperation to save his father, which lead to so many people labelling him as the bad guy. His fall to evil wasn’t something he ever thought he would do or wanted to do, it was something that was just forced out of him.

I like how you got around the "only have one singer" hurdle by changing it to the kid's point of view, it gives you a better look into how he thinks and feels and shows that he's just a desperate kid trying to do what's right. At least, that's what I gathered from this.

Varian wasn't a bad ally or anything but he wasn't a stand out hero or anything just a dorky inventer friend... then he made a very cool villain (well for disney standards anyways... still a bit questionable that he got all butt hurt that Rapunzel prioritized idk... saving an entire kingdom. But while it's not logical it at least can be justified... especially since Rapunzel didn't like... try to check on him after or anything... which felt a lil weird... but I digress... he was still cool)
meanwhile Cass was like... debatebly the coolest member of the cast, and everything... her villain arc was complete nonsense

Yes that would be how vocal ranges work. Anna is a soprano. If you sing lower than the original version, then you're likely a baritone, which isn't common in girl but not impossible

True story:
I listened to this song as an AMV out of context before finally taking the time to watch Tangled’s Animated Series.
This song is the epitome of all good intentions but worst timing and any decisions to change this outcome go back too far to be fair to any of the involved parties.
For this version of the song… it hits home just how how much bad decision making can come from all the right places and reasonings. People make choices, but to ask them to take a 3rd person omniscient point of view when they are 1st person involved is an impossible ask.
All this to say you’ve done a wonderful job! This definitely is going into my likes and favs!

I really like the additional lyrics. I think it shows more of his motivation that someone who is coming from just the song wouldn't know. It also reinforces that he feels that he is justified in doing this to save his father.
