I promise you, do NOT. Just look at new champs like Yone, Vex, and Sett, and you’ll realize why this game is on a steady decline.
A few months ago, after I hit plat 4 and had MMR for plat 1/2, there was this guy who was chal last season and played GP for the enemy team. We demolished them, and he was like 1/0/0 till the 19th min and the team stats was 26/9 for our team. At some point GP just appeared and took two quadras in a row. Neddless to say, he solo carried every single teamfight and won.

I'm watching old videos, being as I'm coming back to the game, but I wanted to say this. Never dismiss something that somebody says to you, even if they're bronze, just because someone doesn't have the mechanics or mindset to be higher elo, doesn't mean that they don't see something you're missing, never assume you're above somebody, some people just have a mind for teaching.

I think GP is one of the champs that Collector is actually really good on. For most other champs I'd say it is a noob bait item because the execute sounds good, but if you build any other high damage item, particularly LDR, you'll still get the kill and won't need the execute. 5% HP really isn't much, at that point you either have the damage to kill them or you don't. GP on the other hand has a lot of good DoTs to burn people down so if a barrel chunks them down low enough, your ult and/or passive should be enough to execute.
Well collector is a strong item purely based on the stats, it gives a good chunk of raw ad, and it’s only item that gives both lethality and crit, which is a hellish combo. For what you get, it’s ridiculously gold efficient.
@@sebastianlaplume461 It just occurred to me that the streamer who said this might have been talking about assassins instead of marksmen. A lot of players when they play an assassin will get collector as their only crit item, which would be where this problem of not actually needing it comes in.
collector was literally made for GP. every stat is best utilized by GP or arguably MF and they use them to perfection in almost any build. the really cool thing? the gun is canonically from Bilgewater, the same region as GP and MF. it's too good to just be a coincidence.
@@spartandumpster1158 I mean even then, assassins like zed and pyke love having collector because if they DO crit, they one shot, but it’s more beneficial to keep stacking lethality.

A NEACE shouldn't you have key bindings for looking at allies instead of clicking the minimap? You always get on people for things you should do with the keyboard instead of clicking with the mouse like Esc from the shop and leveling. 6:02
When being coached nerves make you do these things regardless of conditioning. When he plays solo or when he isn't doing something like this he def doesn't make those mistakes cause his mind is focused in his own comfort zone. It's a passable offense here. But when he is the one coaching he simply wants to hammer the idea into the head of his students. It's ok even when they fuck up during the coaching but his goal is to hammer it in so that when they are playing for themselves it happens instinctively.

@@wolf315stacey Naw he would have still lost. Had he q'd her yeah she would have taken more damage but the barrel would have taken more time anyway to ready up. that's either an extra second or an extra auto wasted. He would never have had time to detonate the barrel.

back to the point: why people like this get money for what they do? I dont know anyone who struggled to climb. Only kids that are competing with us have a problem to climb, because they didnt play games for 20years of their life. But its just practice they need. On the other hand u have grown up people still struggling to climb and instead of telling them: im sorry u have limitations in that point, u use the frustrations to make money. What a shitshow
Ive now watched a couple of you're coaching video's. And notice how badly you talk to some of these people whilst they are Paying for you're time. So I wanted to see how you would play yourself. Which is what I expected. Not God tier. You may know the fundamentals of the Rift, but you still know stuff all. Seeing you be coached by someone else whom I also watch, with a lot more knowledge then you can farthum in this game, is real eye opening. The discipline you try to put on others when it suits you. You aren't even that good at the game to be fair. Whilst you offer some knowledge of the game to the people you try to coach. You are not a Master. And the people should realise this..

@@animeonly2366 first thing to know is what kind of play style do you have? What I like most about gp is that he can accommodate many different kinds of playstyles, versatility is his biggest strength imo, your runes and itemization is dictated by how you play, are you trying to chill out, farm and scale and 1v9 late game? Are you playing for early game dominance to shut out games fast? Are you trying to just have a fist fight with the cunt you're laning vs 30 seconds into the game (mine)? Or are you one of those weird gigachads who play AP? How do you enjoy playing the champ and what do you want to do on the champ, how you play certain matchups is also changed by this.
As for mechanics and champ knowledge, I can't really point you in a direction to pick it all up fast (except for solarbaccas s11 guide but I haven't watched it) because what I personally did was bash my head against the champ until I figured it out. Took me around 30 to 50 games to be able to play him at a diamond level back then but I don't think it's a good idea because I built of some really bad habits I still can't quite shake off, partly because I don't want to.
My biggest piece of advice that I can personally give after playing vs a lot of both new and experienced gp players is to stop being such a fucking bitch in lane (in moderation). Your champ does a deceptive amount of damage in the early levels and you can get away with a lot once your movement gets good with gp (to me one of the most important things). Grow some balls, if someone's stepping up to you just shoot them, what're they gonna do? I run ignite every game and with good farming + first blood I average a 5 minute essence reaver. That's my play style, what you gotta do is find yours and stick with it if you enjoy it, if you're shit at it, oh well you'll pick it up eventually.
Good luck in your games and hope you enjoy playing gp, if you find a gangplank in your ranked games who's flashing on people lvl 1-3 and excessively flaming the enemy team for absolutely nothing it's probably me.
