    That step-dad was horrid to do that to him. That is one of the worst stories I’ve ever heard. Condolences 💐

      At least his step father told him straight up and didn't just kiss him goodbye. That was the worst story I've ever heard. The poor kid thought his dad would be there when he got home.

      I definitely think he has it in him, too. I'm really hoping he gets out of there and gets the help he needs.
      And congratulations on the ex user part. That's amazing, and I love to hear that. I was addicted to drugs for 18 years myself. Next month will give me 10 years clean, so I totally get it.

    I hope his son was able to recover from what his dad did....dang i feel bad for him though and seems like a decent guy....sorry for his losses

    U can't feel love out there because ur love is with ur son. U left him and need to get back in his life so he doesn't feel like u did when ur pos step dad kicked u out. Break the cycle and do better for ur son. He doesn't deserve to be abandoned. It's so sad. Kensington is a wasteland

    Imagine how his son felt when he left school that day and his Dad was nowhere to be found. How can you do that to a kid ? Maybe the kid is better off without him in his life but I do not see how anyone with a conscience could live with themselves after doing that to a kid

    For kids i can feel some sympathy for wrong choices after being warned.. adults... naaaaaaahhh...!!!!!!

      I can definitely see your point, although I've definitely made some stupid decisions as an adult myself. Lol
      I think a lot of these people's addictions probably started out when they were children, teenagers, etc. Unfortunately, addiction just doesn't stop when they become an adult.

    Come on man surrender and go to detox. No matter how old your son is he will always want to have a dad that is living life. The streets don’t love no one. You can get on MAT and live some what of a normal life.

      I'm from Maryland, so I'm not too familiar with how many methadone clinics are in Philly, but I agree with you, I would imagine there would be quite a few.

      @PlayerToBeNamedLater1973 I need to look into that more and try to find some. I'm not sure if all of them charge. If they do, they may take state insurance, which anyone should be able to get.

    No sympathy for him. Your poor son. I get it you lost most your family, but the most important person to ever be in your life you kissed him good bye for drugs. I hope your son has a great life and grows up to be the best person he can. Thats who ill pray for. stop with the poor me shit. Have real love at home with your son but rather look for "real love" in Kensington 😂 "racism made him do drugs" 😂.

      I definitely understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately, addiction makes you do (and choose) some crazy things. I'm definitely not justifying it, though. You're right. The kids are the ones who truly suffer.
      I was a drug addict myself for 18 years. I've been homeless and all that, so I get it. I used to sleep on a metro bench. Thankfully, this April will give me 10 years clean, but it was hell fighting those demons. I loved my mother and my daughter more than anything, but I still couldn't stop using drugs.
      I'm glad all that is behind me now, and I pray those that I interview can find the same happiness I have out of life one day. 🙏
