This is the exact story of my Late daadi-jaan….she was in paralysis for 8 years and passed away last year. May allah taala grant her jannat-ul-firdaus. She was a caring lady but always had a Habit of Talking about people & gossiping about people around. Eventually during her Paralysis she did astagfaar and made dua’s. & she did realise her mistakes. I Miss her.
Edit- Makafat-e-amal is a part of all our lives be it good deeds or bad deeds it always will come around back to us….also not all ailments is a punishment …but if Allah swt loves you & you have the slightest of imaan in your heart…he would want you to come back to him after making repentance in this duniya & we all know its mentioned that in Times of sickness your gunaahs are forgiven…hence this example.
The problem with these stories is that it shows that people with such a disability have been punished by Allah. This is spreading a wrong message in society. People making these dramas should be more responsible. I don't agree with what you're saying about your grandma. Just because she was paralysed, you're linking it to her doing something wrong. Please think about what you're saying

But it is mentioned in Quran paak & Hadees about people getting Azaab in this duniya for any wrong doing or whatsover. This particular show has only highlighted how Makafat-e- amal is a part of life & Hence my example was from a Real life circumstance. I love my Daadi-jaan. And as human beings we all have some trials and hardships in life.

This spreads a wrong message to people as illness and disability is a part of life. We can all get ill or become disabled so does that mean it's a punishment?! I don't agree with this concept at all and it's hurtful to a lot of people. The problem is the message that is being given out. They could have ended it in a positive way by showing that she changes her ways. Why go for the obvious paralysis ending. That was such a let down. People gossip all the time, they don't become paralysed!!

This is spreading a wrong message in society. People making these dramas should be more responsible. After watching these dramas, disabled people will be frowned on by society and society will say they are being punished from Allah. That is a very harmful way of thinking.
The problem is not just Rabia. Every woman who stood by, listening and agreeing with her without proof and spread the gossip are the problem. They could have stopped her. Instead they made her powerful.
