How is Kurt asking questions and making statements, and answering the questions or finishing the statements, two, three or more choruses later? What a monster.
When Kurt hits that first phrase of the melody, the clarity and command he has with that first phrase is breathtaking. You can listen to it infinitely quiet or loud, and it has the same effect. An absolute savant
This set is an example of the finest jazz . 2022 and moving forward . Have you ever been to ronnie Scott's London, they would adore you there . If you go so will I.
holy smoke! i wasn't expecting a guitar solo so intense...fantastic solo...same with the piano, bass and drums...you guys should visit the recording studio after your cafe gig.
Thanks Sam Tedesco..I echo your comments Sam.thanks Kurt Rosenwinkel Quartet. Great gig guys..love to see you in my home town..Adelaide in South Australia...great saxophone work....Cheers from Robert
So awesome to hear Eric tear the diminished axis system apart! It’s sounds like he’s playing wrong notes but he’s totally inside those upper structures!
@@creepingequinox7359 Coltrane did it on Moments Notice. Remember that moment before the solo break where he creates that feeling of everything standing still, where harmony sort of feels like it’s being paused with no certainty. Since then musicians have been finding clever little patterns that cover 4 keys in the duration of 1 bar to recreate that feeling.
bahahaha! safe & conservative for them, maybe. can you play more interesting shit than these guys? I mean actually pull it off convincingly. not looking like money in the bank to me... see you at smalls real soon. stay cool.
Its amazing how Eric Alexander, plays Soo many wrong notes ( he maybe forgetting the changes ), but still manage to save it , and make sense from all this, that requires serious skills , !
Who cares Diablo they all sound fabulous..you obviously don't understand band set up..as a former drummer I appreciate this group..they are super fantastic..especially the drummer...come to Adelaide South Australia we welcome you anytime..Cheers from Robert

Kurt was last at Ronnie's in 2019 with Bandit 65. He was in London at The Jazz Cafe last month with his standards trio.
@@Bennyplays thanks for the info , what struck me was the band perfection and Kurt's astonishing playing and tone.

So awesome to hear Eric tear the diminished axis system apart! It’s sounds like he’s playing wrong notes but he’s totally inside those upper structures!
Can you try to briefly explain what the diminished axis system is? If you can’t do it in a TH-cam comment no worries

Incredible vocabulary and abilities all 'round! Swingin' hard!!! tfp
Kurt está bom de samba
Consulta, qué modelo de guitarra es la que usa Kurt??' Y alguien sabe cuál es el setup que ocupa en sus pedales de efectos?
Muchas gracias.
Bill Burr sounds great on bass.
He wouldn’t hit the wrong notes, but he’s thought about it.
He's old and bald now..
Who says jazz guys don't shred?!
Deaf people.
Does anybody knows what's that effect on the guitar?
It’s an Electro Harmonix POG2
Ask, what model of guitar does Kurt use??' And does anyone know what setup it uses on their effects pedals?
Thank you so much.
About his guitar i don't know, but i learned yesterday that he uses a "POG 2". U can find info on google "Kurt Rosenwinkel POG 2"
Safe, conservative arrangement of Invitation.

Sometimes it is better to hold an opinion that does not add to the discussion. Love to hear your take and playing.

There are no wrong notes just improper resolutions. Eric Alexander knows what he’s doing! Few musicians attain such a level of virtuosity.
He knows the changes
