I have assume before that Valerie actually died during the birds part two. At the beginning of the song you hear her crying then just before Abels vocals begin there is a somewhat gun shot and then her crying stops. (I think she may have shot herself) Fast forward to gone, Abel is talking about her being gone, possibly gone as if she died. Then the song Valerie is Abel recognising he actually loved Valerie but now its too late. Shes gone for good.

Listening to it right now THAT IS A GUNSHOT and the birds at the end are crows flying away as a result of it. Ive listened to thursday easily 100+ times and have never thought about that. THANK YOU so much. that add so much to one of my favorite songs on the album.
Gunshot was possibly/more logically Valerie shooting whoever Weeknd was sleeping with while seeing her. To me the lyrics of Gone sound like they’re being high.
Kinda wish he would’ve actually recorded The Birds interlude. IMO The Birds Pt.2 is the best song on this tape because of how deep it is, took me awhile to realize the beginning signified that Valerie killed herself (hence the gunshot before he starts singing)
You forgot to mention the genius producers who helped define the entire trilogy saga, illangelo and doc McKinney. They are largely responsible for Abel’s original sound and why all three mixtapes sound so amazing.

Life of the party is actually extremely dark, especially the ending where he pretty much manipulates Valarie into doing things she wouldn’t normally do to him and he’s friends .
