Iwa ji (Iri ji Ofu)

The New Yam Festival is a celebration signifying the prominence of yam in the social-cultural life of Igbuzo people, on that day, only dishes of yam are served at the feast starting with Ihu ji Otite (roasted tubbers of yams) in the morning, as the festival is symbolic of the abundance of the produce.
It's religiously celebrated during the months of September every year
Fowls and goats are slained as sacrifices to appease the deities
Location= The iri ji ofu is celebrated in individual homes with families and friends
