MANDOVI amchi mai! Why are we using the Karnataka name for our beloved river, Mandovi? The name 'Mandovi' is woven in the Goan heritage and culture - let us not change it. The Mandovi is threatened - let us protect it.
There is no doubt that Hema sardessai is one of the best singer in India. But to sing this particular song the producer an lyricist of this song should have opted for some other goan talented singer, this I say because hema never spoke a word on mhadei when parrikar was alive, the process of handing over mhadei to karnataka was initiated when parrikar was the cm of goa.
She was hysterical about naming the airport after Parrikar when none of us wanted it named after him. Parrikar belonged to the RSS, we all know how they feel about minorities. He tried to Cancel Good Friday. That is no small issue!! Having received his education in a Catholic school he knew what Good Friday meant to Catholics. He tried to conceal his true intentions all along. He was there when they demolished that mosque but was very quiet about it, it only leaked out after his death. There is a popular saying, "When someone tells you who they are, you believe them!". She was all frantic insinuating a certain community was biased against him. With good reason, my dear!
