For any one watching this there is a much simpler way. Once you remove the capping screw and capping simply close the boot. You can then remove the upper screws from the outside and you can access the two lower hinge screws through the lower boot instead of the way Kevin does it holding up the boot lid with a block of wood. It took me all of about 5 minutes per side doing it my way.
