Bambi means "night rain" in Korean. Baekhyun is definitely a vocal king to be reckoned with...his 4 solo albums have solidified his place in Kpop due to his stellar vocals...and his preference to r&b shows through many of his b-sides, and also within Exo music. Baekhyun, pronounced "bake and yun", bake yun...is one of the power vocals in Exo, along with Chen and D.O., and the combo will always be my favorite in all of their songs.
Yes, Exo are known for many r&b based music, and their harmonies are unmatched for me. But the proof is in the music...if you dare find out how good Baekhyun is, I suggest one of his b-sides that has rocked kpop at an all time high...the song "All I Got" from his "Bambi" album...only lyric video available, but trust me, he can sing live as well as the studio version...THIS SONG IS R&B GOODNESS at it's best...although there are no lives of this song...he went to the military right after the album dropped, so he only had time to do the "Bambi" mv...but he just returned from the military in January.

And if you aren't familiar with D.O., please react to "Tell Me What Is Love", a single released in 2014, a lyric video which features the FULL song. It is a young D.O. featured along with his vocal coach Yoo Youngjin, a very popular song if you don't mind the lyric video. Yoo Youngjin was a very popular r&b singer in kpop back in the 90's...he is a well known and respected mentor in Kpop. Many reactors do this video although they are familiar with D.O.'s voice and Exo vocalists in general...another r&b classic though, so I think you will enjoy this one. Thanks for your consideration...please don't be too blown away...Yoo Youngjin is a vocal coach, manager and producer at SM for a reason...

Bambi is Baekhyun's most recent album title track bc he enlisted soon after this released. He returned in February and has been focused on the EXO comeback first.
Bambi is a play on night and rain in Korean. Bam being Night and bi meaning rain, so I think he uses it for that reason as well as the fantasy element you were talking about, being with her is like a fantasy, never land, tinkerbell, etc.
Baekhyun is a vocal genius, pure gold. Bambi and the song Cry for Love are my favourite songs of his Bambi mini album, but UN Village is good too. You should also check Baekhyun and Kai out in their other Group called SuperM, its known as the Avengers of Kpop, as a it is a supergroup made up of 7 members from different SM Entertainment groups, x2 from Exo, x4 from NCT (2 from NCT 127 and 2 from WayV - Chinese sub unit of NCT, though Ten is actually Thai), then x 1 from SHINee which is Taemin. There's a mix of great rap and vocals. Jopping was their debut song. Worth a look at too.

Bambi has a double meaning. There's the obvious Disney references but in Korean the word also means 'night rain' so there's references to rain coming down, especially in the second half of the song.

the last line of the song, from how i decipher it, since it is called "Bambi"... 'bam' means 'night' in korean and 'bi' means rain, so it was like his love for that someone was like a night rain, it's comforting and beautiful that he hopes it's stays like that forever, that the sun never rise again... there's actually a lot more to the song, especially the word "Bambi" itself, he really made a great use of that word, a lot of references and word plays.. just amazing... i mean, he's Baekhyun from freaking EXO.. like??? Trust me, you have only scratched the surface of Baekhyun. It only gets better from here if you continue to check him out. I would suggest maybe going back and starting from his first solo song, UN Village (pronounced U.N. Village). There is a video, a live concert performance, and then a live session. You will see how amazing he is as a performer and vocalist. His songs are heavy R&B and very soulful. He won't disappoint.

This song name is a play on words, the word "Bam" "밤" means Night and the word "BI" "비" means Rain in korean. And EXO also plays the disney character "PeterPan" "Tinkerbell" in their life to emphasize their connection with their fans, to be simple, we, the fans are likeTinkerbell for them and EXO is like PeterPan for us...like that these are the idol-fandom stuffs😂❤. Double meaning of the word Bambi. Obviously the Disney character who is innocent and gentle and then the Korean version Bam bi meaning night rain. A more dark and seductive description. If you google “genius idol” Baekhyun comes up. He is regarded by his peers and the industry as one of the best kpop singers. He just finished his mandatory military conscription which is why the video is from two years ago. I highly recommend anything from Baekhyun but some of my favorites are his b-sides on his albums! You can start with his 1st album City Lights and the title track UN Village and b-sides Betcha and Stay Up. I really enjoy your breakdown of songs!
