Having clarity of thought is very important. People have clarity of thought in fields that we are interested or experienced in. For example people who play cricket understand it better than those who don't play it or aren't interested in it.
A true learner relates what his knowledge to himself to deepen his understanding. While talking to others, he ensures that he relates it to their lives to help them understand better.
To learn deeper we need to understand things objectively (based on the truth). Because the truth is unquestionable.
