Akashji aapaka video bahot excellent hai. Maine yeh video dekh ke hi mere IFB Elena VX ke bearing change kiye. Thank you so much for such a nice video. However, I noticed that there is no need to take the whole plastic drum out. no need to unscrew motor, connections of water heater, no need to open the legs of the drum. No need to open the soap tray (unless you want to paint the rusted part of metal) The machine shown in your video and my machine both are exactly same.
Here are the steps I did.
1. Opened the back cover, removed belt and pully attached to drum.
2. Opened top cover, then button panel(no need to remove connections), bottom panel.
3. removed spring which keep rubber connected to front door panel. removed door sensor connection and then front door panel
4. removed concrete brick attached to the bottom of front part of plastic drum.
5. remove 2 pipes attached to plastic tub front part from soap tray.
6. After this I unscrewed the plastic front part/cover of the tub and pushed shaft of steel drum from back side using hammer. (the backside of plastic tub was inside machine only. no need to remove that. so that no need to remove springs, motor, legs etc.)
7. Once steel drum came out, i replaced bearings from the back side of plastic tub which was still there in the machine.
8. and then closed the machine in the reverse order of things opened.
Working perfectly. The whole thing can be done within half an hour or one hour depending on the skills of the labour. If bearing removal is difficult then it can take additional time. My 6205 got jammed into the shaft and was not coming out. Used bearing/pulley puller (4 inch size).
Tools used.
1. spanner set 12/13
2. screw driver
3. hammer
4. plier
(following two items are needed only if you are not able to take the bearing out from the shaft)
5. bearing puller ( not needed if bearing can be pulled using some little hammering)
6. used dremel cutter ( my bearing broke when applied puller. inner ring was jammed into the shaft which I cut using dremel cutter).

You could also get it from a scrap dealer.
Hi sir my IFB washing machine drum is moving slow as if it's bearing is stuck, and after we take the belt out there is a rough voice in the drum when we rotate it.what could be the problem.Also when the washing machine was running ,once there was a slite smoke so we switched of the Machine.What could be the problem pls help.
Two Problems are there
1) rough sound is coming it might be bearing problem, or Y shape hub problem , without opening assambly we can't predict.
2) smoke observed
In my opinion , we have to remove the belt and observe one full washing cycle if it is ok it means our control card is ok and while operation keep watch on motor that it's rotating in diffrant speed during wash & speen mode if it is ok than moter is ok

@@AkashManish fixing problems by looking at videos you made is fine. The real problem I faced was getting the spares. E.g. here no one was ready to give me door lock so i had to pay him 1400 and get it replaced from the technician. he refused to give the door lock. Company is not selling any spares to us. There is an opportunity for a person like you to make these spares. :) Now also I am struggling to get tub seal ring. technicians dont give spares. company doesnt sell that. we have to pay their heavy charges then only we will get that.

Hello Thanks for the video. My IFB machine is giving Spark from the bottom when switched on and main power gets trip due to it. Can you tell which part might be causing this spark ? Is the Drum Jam or motor issue ?
Check motor carbon brush , if spark is comeing from carbon brush (commutator) then replace it.

Where did you get the "spider arm" i.e Y type arm?. I tried to fix it myself but service centre people refused to give me the part. They forced me to lodge complaint to samsung helpline and buy the entire steel drum fixed with spider arm, took transporting and service charge. I paid the entire service charge, spare parts cost (Drum+Spider arm) and them signed on their paper that servicing was done at service centre and the machine is OK where as I lifted only the parts from their service center and entire fitting was done by me at my home. I changed both the bearings purchased from outside. Whenever you open the machne change the bearings, both shock absorbers. Try to service yourself if you are sure to get spare parts. Also Run "Eco Drum" program once every month once, your machines life will increase dramatically i.e spider arm will last many times longer.

I super liked this video. Started to follow and opened my ifb front load for a steel tub hanging defect that i felt can be fixed by bearing change. I followed this video only to get stuck at 10:14 where the heat sensor is described. But at 12:08-12:12 it is seen already removed without showing how! Can you please explain or link another video if u have made it for heat sensor removal?

Yes, you are right now,12:30-12:51 you can see black gascat ring, heat sancer is disk type sancer it's easy to take it out, plate sancer is holded in side black gascat, with help of small screwdriver ,insert a screw driver in radious of rubber ring so that disc sancer came out & gascat remains on body

I've IFB Senorita Aqua SX 6.5 Front load washing machine, it is unable to start washing program, front display showing TACO error even for empty spin. IFB service personal suggest to replace PCB and Door lock which will cost me around 8600/-. I've checked Tacho cables coming from Motor for any loose connection, But they are intact. suggest me to repair my washing machine.

Great., but music is irritating which also destructs to listen commentry properly. However thanks for vdo though it is not possible to all at least without a helping hands. I must mention here that one may not be fooled by any technician asking to replace entire drum instead of carrying out repair work to avoid labour.

What was the overall expense for this repair??
I have the same model with me. It creates knocking sound only during spin.
What might be causing it. The symptom has started from few days..
If same symptoms are there, then
1) problem in Bearings
You replace the bearings it will cost ₹ 800
If service Engineer came he can take ₹3500
Or
2) problem in Y shape hub
If hub problem than you have to replace both bearing set, seal & Y shape hub.
It will cost ₹ 2500 if you repair yourself.
If service Engineer came to repair he can take charge more than ₹ 6000

Excellent video exactly what I need
I am also doing it myself dealing with the same problem of the machine the Y part is fully broken looking for a replacement, first tried to contact some local mechanic but they were not interested so contacted IFB customer care but they are charging much said about 7000rs plus service charge which is about 600-1000 depending on the damages. Adding few thousands can buy a new machine so I declined their offer.

Hi, Amit same thing happened with us so we had replaced Y on our own. Great you can also do this, you can get Y with Bearing set & oil seal in ****Rs from local market . You are staying in Mumbai so you will get same part in cheaper price. I am staying in Gujarat.

I was not used my washing machine for 7 months, so before starting the machine I rotated the steel drum by hand and found it is jam. The machine model is IFB Elena SX front-loading. Later service engine observed a crack on the plastic drum surrounded the steel drum. How can avoid such failures for the long storage machines?.
Ask service engineer for new plastic drum what it cost, ,Also you can get old plastic drum from scrap washing machine market , if you are going to repare your self,
Or take the costing of replacement of new or old drum from service engineer
This kind of problem is very rare

I think you should have removed the front cover. it is very easy to remove. and then just remove the dead weight and then open the drum front front side. no need to remove the whole drum. this will give you better access for this job.
you can remove the heater also by just loosening the center bolt and just pull it back.. that way you can clean thoroughly.
you found a good alternative for broken Y. IFB does not sell this alone and they ask to replace drum as well.
similarly carbon brush of the motor is also not availabe. you have to replace complete motor. I bought a pair of brushes online an replaced them . working perfectly

We keep temp 40 dig for daily cloth, & spin speed 650 so that rinkles will not come on cloth, Use any brand of
Liquid detergent, Use once in year descale to clean the machine.
