Far better reason than all this 'social media' shite; people making mindless videos in order to gain popularity (among tech dorks, obviously) and attempt (& fail) to make mega-money ! Nostalgia is far better purpose; I mean, how else would we ever be able to watch old TV ads + shows ??
Memory is really strange and complex, I would have never randomly remembered these, but watching them now I remember every one of them as if it was this morning I saw them
As a young 18 year old I remember thinking how amazingly stunning the cadbury flake girl was. Now I just wonder who on earth eats a chocolate bar/flake whilst taking a bath 🛀
I'm pretty sure the E-Mu Proteus/2 sound module was used on the Intel advert. Our first family holiday in summer 1994 was at a Hoseasons park in Wales, we stayed in a log cabin ( or lodge ) but at the time I thought the lodge was very posh. Like most of these adverts the midi synthesized music was most likely produced with sound modules ( actually some of the sounds in that advert sound like a Korg M1 especially the panpipes ).
0:35 what a handsome man! I rarely see men like this anymore...they're all tattooed thugs or ladyboys these days! People were so naturally beautiful and real in those days.
Nostalgia, the best reason for TH-cam to exist 😊
Couldn't agree more
Yep 4 sure
Nostalgia? it's not what it used to be..

Oh I remember that Strepsils advert because I remember the bit with the log.
The guy who played Hurcules was in the Peugeot 106 ad
Holy crap!!! You're right, it's Kevin Sorbo.
@@Siraj75 Even today many of our car adverts are recorded in Central Europe and dubbed overed with English.
Evidently the Guy on the Prudential advert essentially wanted to be Michael Bolton!!!!
Can't say I remember that Prudential ad with Michael Bolton in it !

Jeez that fire alarm advert was a ray of sunshine wasn't it
The smoke alarm ad just worked on me
The Gold Blend saga was our Netflix.
Always loved that Boots advert! I'd say there's been many a woman who's had that problem of getting into a dress!
I always remember it because the alternatives never looked as good as the original high calorie version.
6:15 actor from Buffy and Little Britain.
one of the actors here was in Dark knight rises
Many unsuccessful and well known successful super stars ✨ often start off as humble actors appearing in TV adverts.
The graveyard of great ads and trailers
Wasnt that the sha-a-dow in the Toffee Crisp ad ?
Ulri- ka- ka- ka in the toothpaste advert!
Nope.....it's NOT Ulrika!
Strepsils 1993 ad
Well this advert campaign actually started in 1992.
I hated Kraft cheese slices...they always tasted plastic-y!
As an experiment I held a lighter to one a few months ago and it still didn't melt, actual fire failed to melt it, God knows what's in them....
