Farmers treat their animals with treatments, it’s very important for the animals health and yours. Of course you can get ticks even with precautions but treatments decrease that chance, the same for fleas.

Usually when this happens the owner will rehome the single chicken because its too traumatic for them to be on their own. They need to be in a flock.
