I love that you are filming in a little greenhouse/windowed porch! A lovely ship-central book is The Half-Drowned King by Linnea Hartsuyker. Looking it up now, apparently it's a trilogy and I had no idea! 😂 I love rereading books from my childhood as well. I wish I did it more often, but I feel too compelled to read the newer titles on my shelves. And, conversely, I rarely think to pick up novellas. That's a kind of writing I want to eventually try reading.
Thank you!! I try to film there when I can. Most of the time I film at my own house but now and then I'm able to film a video in this location (my parents' house). Ooh I have to look up The Half-Drowned King, thank you! 😂 oops for not knowing it was a trilogy! Maybe the first book ended nicely so you didn't realise? Glad you also like re-reading books from your childhood. Yes I also want to read newer books, usually I read way more new-to-me books than that I re-read. I hope you will pick up some novellas at some point if you feel like it 😀
Hello Gaia Athena! Nice backdrop. I haven’t read the Robin Hobb series and am unlikely to get to it, but I love her idea of ships quickening. I get author burnout too. I’m definitely a neophiliac, having an affinity for novelty. And yes, you used the word noble correctly, in the sense that a person is a member of the nobility.
Thank you Lindy! Yes I like the idea of the ships quickening too :). Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets author burnout. Ooh I hadn't heard that word before, thanks for teaching me :). Glad I used the word noble correctly.
I COMPLETELY relate to author burnout it's so rare that I can read a series in full without a break. Must be a mood reader thing 😂 This was a great wrap up even if the books where a bit hit and miss.
I am like you, which is one of the many reasons I am a multi reader. I like to mix up writing styles and genres and then am also a mood reader. And it's nice to read different shorter books while also dealing with longer ones. I am glad you still enjoyed the sequel though. I wouldn't have liked that line in de verloren schat either so I understand why it turned you off of it a bit. I've heard such good things about girl made of stars and I am glad you like this author a lot :)
Glad you like to mix up writing styles and genres too and that you are also a mood reader ☺. Yes I agree. Glad you understand about that line in De verloren schat. Thank you Olivia!
I hope you enjoy Robin Hobb's books when you get to them! Haha glad I'm not the only one who thinks maybe reading a scary book before bed is not a good idea.
It might be for the best as it can occupy my mind while trying to sleep 😂, so not a bad idea to not read thrillers before bed haha. Thanks for watching, Emily 💖

Great wrap up. It's such a good idea to revisit books from your childhood.
Thanks Debra!
I have Assassins Apprentice and been meaning to get to it, definitely this year. Nice video, wanted to show my support.
Thanks David! I appreciate that :).

So glad I'm not the only one who gets author burnout! I think so yes 😂. Thank you Amy!

You’ve reminded me that I still want to get to Robin Hobb this year! Yes, I can’t read scary books before bed 😆
