You just can't argue with what he says. He wants the next generation to make it and make that apparent to media and the people because like everything else it starts at the home. I was an addict and statistics would show I wouldn't make it but I did. I did some time and it showed me how dumb I was. There does need to be programs to help people who are wanting to change, but for those who won't we can't let them kill our youth.

Two years ago my best friend called me. She had just discovered the body of her precious son. A baggie of four remaining fentanyl pills were on the bed where he died. I live six hours away and got in the car within twenty minutes to start my journey to be with her. When I got to his home, she and her husband, his sister and I , sat in the room feet away from where he died. The weeping and grief , agonizing pain could not be comforted by any words or hugs. Sheriff Grady is correct. Someone watching this clip either has or will be impacted by this drug. The loss of life is horrific. RIP Jesse

Amen to R. Pierce. I'm a traumatic brain injury survivor, and cannabis, once you learn to use it as your system needs it ( and this can take months in some cases ), it's truly reliable for good sleep. A chronically sick person needs good quality sleep and can't afford to stint on it as healthy people do. Cannabis ( which is what it should be called ) is a godsend in the right circumstances. There needs to be a medical provision in every state's laws.

    • @hokehinson5987
      @hokehinson5987 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Believe this. The criminal justice system is not what you think
. It is a white collared system of crime hiding behind the robes of virtue. It's very difficult for people who are die hard believers in the illusion of what we've been indoctrinated to believe in to accept. Yeah there are good people in the justice system but the big shots who call the shots have created a system that self perpetuates their pay check, their retirement, their standing in the community.
It's built on self interest. Now fathom how crime creates a huge industry that empolyes a host of people in all levels. From construction designers of jails, criminal justice centers...all the people and systems that support jails...then all the LEO departments...all the equip vehicles air craft etc needed for them....instructors in state colleges teaching police certificate programs...honestly just trying to envision all the folks that profit just thru having a job that supports a system that allows crime to never be controlled...and this just represents the good side of the equeation then we have the low lifes....... there is good in evil as well as evil in good...the problem is the individual person.... "there will always be the poor amongst us" and poor is not to be defined as no wealth....wealth itself to an undisciplined mind is a drug in itself....

@@pathoover2786 That varies by State, and very few States--three come to mind, California, New York, Ohio--have it. There are two major additional related factors, arrest versus conviction. Often felonies are reduced to misdemeanors by prosecutors, sometimes to leverage a plea deal and sometimes to reduce crowding in jails and prisons. By giving someone probation instead of jail time, they become an earner for the prosecution, paying a monthly fee for their freedom. I worked in home health for 15 years and had a car accident that injured my cervical spine and lumbar spine. I had two cervical spine surgeries and my lumbar spine spinal was twisted. It took a specialist to determine why I was hurting so bad in my lower back and hips. My hip plates got twisted when I got stuck under the steering wheel. When my SUV hydroplaned over an embankment and rolled. I worked six years in agony. I couldn’t take pain meds and muscle relaxers because I was driving until I got home. My orthopedics told me it was time to go on disability when I came in crying and covered with sweat one day.
    I love nursing.
I went on a pain management plan with fentanyl patches. As a nurse, you never put a patch on a patient without gloves on. You flush them down a toilet. I started out with a 10mg patch and got up to where I know I ask my doctor for the 100mg. And he said, “NO!” (This was over a course of years.) We went another Route. Pain is Witch.
I don’t understand why people want to use drugs.
I remember the first time I took a Narcotic for a migraine. It was my first migraine and I was very sick.
17 - 18 years old. My mother took me to the doctor and he order Darvocet. and Phenergan. Darvocet 1 or 2 as needed. Phenergan 1 for nausea and vomiting as needed.
I took 1 Darvocet and 1 Phenergan. Well still and hour letter my head was still hurting so bad. I told my mom. She said, “Well, it saids, “You can take one or two, maybe you need two?” I took another one.
I was in the recliner with ice packs on my head and neck and cold cloth over my eyes to keep out the light.
About 30 minutes later after taking that second Darvocet, I started feeling funny, I thought I was dying. I tried calling momma, but my voice would not come out of my mouth. I sat that in that recliner like I was paralyzed and spinning. I was praying to God, please help me. Don’t let me die. Forgive. I don’t know how long this actually went on but it seemed like forever, but I finally went to sleep and woke up later. That evening with my head feeling like a bowling ball. Migraines are tough.
I still have them, but I am very cautious about medications. I will never forget that.
One thing, phenergan and narcotics works together to help alleviate pain. In my case, the phenergan and the first Darvocet had not interacted yet, but when the second Darvocet was introduced, it took off like wildfire.
That is why it is very important all your doctors know what medications you take, even over the counter medications and vitamins.
God Bless Everyone and Pray For Everyone
    I have a drug addicted brother-in-law.
All he has left is my son and I.
My husband and his parents ( my-in-laws have all passed away).
Praying he finds his way back to a normal life.

Im in pain management I was on super high dose of fentanyl patches after my initial accident and I accidentally put on a second patch not realizing that the other one had fallen into my bra. I almost died. Now I am using injections and a migraine shot I get once a month that’s non narcotic. It took a two years to ween off narcotic medication. I’m now sober off of all narcotic. I’m having another back surgery soon and double knee replacement. I’m afraid because I don’t want to take narcotics afterwards. Chronic pain is horrible. I have a TBI and major spinal trauma. Now my spine is deteriorating from spinal thesisis and spondlosis along with degenerative disc disease. I understand exactly what you said.

I thank God we have sensible and dedicated people like Sheriff Grady Judd to overcome these obstacles and bring these criminals to justice. I just wish their work wasn't constantly undermined by people who lack the stomach to deal correctly with the crimes that he and his department are sworn to police. The family members bonded out on a major trafficking arrest, and since then there are AT LEAST two bodies on one of them, and who knows how many ODs based on their fake pills and cannabis sprayed with fentanyl? Adding heroin to non-addictive drugs is nothing new, I was addicted to ecstasy pills back in the 1990s, and after I got clean, I found out that what I had been addicted to wasn’t the MDMA, but brownstone heroin that was in the pills. I struggled so much with that addiction I tried to off myself, but I survived and my brother helped me shake it. I love my brother so much, I’m literally alive today because he helped me. The morning after, when I didn’t die, I dragged myself into the shower covered in shit and puke and piss, and let the hot water wash it all away, and I KNEW that God had a better plan for my life, and that he was the only reason I was alive that morning. I accepted Jesus as my PERSONAL Savior, and let him take the wheel. 27 years later, I’m still clean and I have a gorgeous wife, three amazing kids, a gorgeous home, and a loving church family. I’m an elder and a respected member of my community, by God’s loving grace. PLEASE, if you have family members struggling with drugs, GET THEM HELP. Show them that there is a viable path forward!!!

The government? Seriously? The government is who brings this shit in the country in the first place. The law enforcement complex needs there to be drugs so they can keep getting money to stop drugs. The government is in bed with the cartels, so the government isn't the answer IMO

My little brother almost died twice from OD. He still continued to do drugs. Now that he's sitting in jail looking at 62 yrs for 3 charges one being charged as a habitual criminal. That alone is 20 yrs. I guarantee if he gets out in the next few months he'll be right back at. It's sad he doesn't see a life without dealing in drugs.

Being a addict is not a disease its a choice. We always say take accountability for your actions until it comes to a drug addict. If you lock the dealers up the addicts should be subjected to the same jail sentences. The addicts have subjected their familes to their own death and destruction also. The two groups dealers and addicts are one in the same. Drug addicts are addicted to drugs and drug dealers are addicted to money...

And here I am stressed out because I got a speeding ticket. Sheriff Judd is absolutely correct when it comes to seeking treatment. Treatment will never work unless the patient is at “their” (thank you, Travis) lowest level. It’s a difficult process to see somebody go through.
And Chef Geoff’s is absolutely correct, because I do know a friend that has died from this within the past year.

It's proven people have the same chances of quitting on their own and from what I've seen is the "treatment" for people on opiates is literally just liquid handcuffs. My brother has been in this failed lie of supposed "treatment" for almost 10 years and just od'd in September. Quit lying to people. You just want more people going through the cattle shoot dosing lines at methadone clinics.

@@bytchesagainstbullshyt3696 So why aren't you advocating the re-prohibition of alcohol?
Also: I thought that the state of Oregon was the only state where personal-use amounts of all drugs have been decriminalized.
Still, addiction is not fun. We all agree on that, but booze and beer are wrecking lives, as well. So, if you're consistent in your values, you should advocate to make alcohol illegal.
