Barry Gibb is the oldest one and Robin and Maurice were backing vocals sadly Maurice and Robin have passed. Their harmonies were one of kind. You need to check out their older songs from the 60's.

The Bee Gee's mean "The Brothers Gibb". There were 4 brothers from Australia. Barry is the lead singer, his 3 younger Brothers are Robin, Maurice and Andy Gibb. Robin is the only brother still alive. Robin is still married to the same Lady after 50 years.

They are my favorite group of all time I'm 55 years old, the Bee gees were just not great musicians, they were songwriters, singers, musicians, wrote for so many other great artists. I love seeing this reaction it's nice to see a younger ones appreciating some beautiful music. You can go back to the 60s 70s '80s and '90s they wrote for many people. Barry, and Andy were my teen idols. Andy was a younger brother who never made it on the group . Andy had a solo career that didn't last long he died too young. Just like the other two brothers Robin and Maurice all gone way too early. Barry lives on and their music will live on forever and ever

Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) are twins - 3 years younger than Barry.
betty artis .Many just like you underestimate just how fantastic Maurice and Robins falsetto is id say Robins is actually higher than Barrys .In fact if you really listen to this performance it is Maurice and Robin that carry this song with the harmonies and without them they would never have had the impact they did ,its the harmonies that made the Bee Gees what they were and neither one was more important than the other .

Also, if you go to Albumism.com and search for Bee Gees, Andy Gibb, Streisand, etc., they have awesome articles on some of the Gibb’s iconic albums. They interview Galluten and Richardson, where applicable. The article about SPIRITS HAVING FLOWN includes excellent technical detail from Galluten about recording the vocals for TOO MUCH HEAVEN. You can also check the Wikipedia page, but it is less technical and may not be completely accurate depending on who supplied the info.
The video, however, can only be of the recording of one of the many vocal tracks that went into the final record. The video may make it look like Robin and Maurice are singing certain parts, and that Barry isn’t, but that’s because Barry could only sing one part at a time. According to the above cited sources and others not cited, the final mix is almost all Barry, especially on the falsetto. Barry worked at developing his falsetto. He once said he had discovered 11 (I think I have that number correct or at least close) different ways to sing in falsetto, and he planned to record in each one. Most of us don’t have the ear to really appreciate how much work and talent really went into his falsetto songs.
All four brothers and their father could play pretty much any instrument by ear, but Maurice was the most accomplished instrumentalist... because he put the work in, beginning in Australia when they had near unlimited use of a studio. We tend to work at what we love, which is often what we are also most naturally gifted at anyway. You may have seen something I haven’t, so if you have a source for information about Maurice having a great falsetto, I would sincerely love to see or read or hear it!!!
Robin and Barry said in an interview that Robin had the greatest range. .... but range and falsetto are different. Robin also had that glorious distinctive signature vibrato. He had a very distinctive quality to his voice that the family joked sounded like a quavering Arab, which make it pretty easy for fans to distinguish his and Barry’s vocals, even in falsetto. Even though he could play multiple instruments, Robin chose to specialize in his greatest instrument, which was his voice, but very seldom in (lead) falsetto.
There’s documentation to support that, despite what it may look like in the video, the vocals on the final mix of TOO MUCH HEAVEN (that we just heard reacted to) are almost all Barry.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE all four brothers and am so glad the world has been blessed with each of their many, many talents!!! I hope you don’t think that the above is in any way putting any one brother higher or lower than the other.

The group the Bee Gees were brothers. All 3 brothers have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry.
Bee Gees were going for decades and changed their style several times, if you find the time have a listen to their song I Started A Joke, a classic from the late 60s and what they saw as a deeply spiritual song.

What a treat watching your genuine reaction to Barry and the twins. Barry usually had the lead (the bronin the middle) and did a lot of the producing and writing. They were all natural by ear writing and playing instruments. When the public turned on them they continued to write and produce for other artist. To me they has the best harmonies of any group. Thanx for reacting. I’m going to your library to see what others you reacted to of their music. I don’t have knowledge of links.
