Both are great. If you want to enjoy the nightlife with an African lady, that is more likely to happen in Bangkok. Unless you hate your money, avoid the Russian clubs in Pattaya.
Nana is a soi, an ally connecting this Ploenchit-Sukhmvit junction toward the Petchburi road. From this Landmark hotel to the south bound road to Cambodia border pass is the longest Sukumvit road. The old Soi Nana was the favorite places for Indian, Arabian tourists. I used to enjoy Arab sheep intestine bbq and Indian Moguls goat head. Still Indian suits tailor shops scatter. Local Thais seldom visited.
Make sure to drop by The Beach in Hua Hin next time you are in town. The Beach in Hua Hin is the only Bar in Thailand that you can actually meet and talk with International Professional Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger Models.

Be careful of ladyboy trying to talk to you in the parking lot/ under cover of the nana hotel. I had a necklace stolen from me by a ladyboy while I was walking to use the toilet. She approached me asking if I wanted her services which I declined but she continued and I told her to go away, she tried to hug me and convince me to go with her for a massage and this was a ploy to steal the chain right off my neck. Didn’t even notice until I returned to my condo. I got the whole thing in video too thanks to cctv from nana hotel. I turned the theft into the police but unfortunately nothing ever came from it. Thailand is wonderful and I won’t let one bad apple ruin my time there but do stay aware and if someone is really persistent then be on alert. 🚨

Seems more built up than when I was there, a long, long time ago. My friend had been there before and booked our rooms in Nana Hotel. Arrived after the flight from London and crashed the first night. The second night went out for beers. No intention of getting laid. Went to a restaurant along the road and the waitress was pretty chatty. Went out for more booze, lost my mate and ended up having another few in a bar before stumbling back to the hotel. Sitting in the lobby area having a beer and the waitress just appeared. Asked me what my plans were for the evening. The rest is history. A few days later, sitting having a beer outside a bar and she is walking past with another guy. Stops and chats with me for about five minutes, while the other dude looks uncomfortable as fuck. Told me she's away with him for a few days, but to contact her when she's back. The guy's face was priceless. Ah. Nana. Never change.
