mygad that dashboard is so much elegant than 2021 altis
And 2023's, it has GRs badge but it's bland and i dunno, feels cheap, i prefer this 2017 dash over the current one, it's elegant and a tad much expensive looking

"No cruise" - its easy to add cruise to Corolla by buying some parts for $50-$100. The most expensive among them is the handle under the wheel :)

Had the same experience when I went to malaysia as a tourist. We booked grab and I opened it on the front right side as a passenger and both me and the driver were surprised lol.

What about the reliability of the cvt transmission? How long does it last??
Toyota make some of the best in the industry. They put them in the Prius for 20 years, and so far no major issues. But you need to maintain them probably with regular transmission fluid changes as prescribed in the service manual. Personally I would go for the 6 speed manual, but thats just me.
It’s a freakin toyota. It can last 1,000x longer on the road than you in bed.

This one looks better than the US version but the front before this version was better for me.
With 2018 excise tax this 2.0 model has become kind of irrelevant, because it gets hit with 20% excise tax. The 1,6 variants are for sure the ones to go for now. No they are not fast, but if you mainly drive in the business district of Manila, a larger engine is only for showing off.

Pronouncing altis almost like "ohltis" instead altis with a bit of æ sound. Very awkward.
2.0L engine fuel consumption is 15km/l for city drive? i don't think so. BTW nice review!!
Hi Marlo. The Altis registered 8km/l at 15km/h in the city, while the 15km/l is at 85km/h on the highway :)
But CVT Cars have bad reputations
