Yessir! As a homeowner, I couldn't ask for a better pole saw. Got the green LS series--four six-footers. Works fine but don't expect the sawblade to act as a chainsaw! Any hardwood branch over, say 4 or 5 inches in diameter--it's a workout. Any branch 8 inches in diameter or over--call a pro.

The Jameson poles with the Barracuda blade are an awesome combination! The Barracuda blade is also available on a hand pruning saw for cutting branches within easy reach and cutting up fallen branches to barrel and throw away. I spend two to four hours a week tree trimming and I've cut a thousand palm branches and hundreds or other tree branches with the same blade. It is very aggressive. I can usually cut through a palm frond in 3 or 4 strokes. I no longer worry about sharpening the blade. I have gotten so much use out of it, buying a new one, at a very reasonable price, is no problem. But, buy a feather file if it will make you feel better. I haven't used mine yet. The Home Depot currently has a smoking hot deal on three 6 foot poles and a Barracuda blade for under $100 dollars. A comparable Silky blade can cost that much by itself and is about the same performance. I've cut numerous 8 to 10 inch branches 16 feet up and pulled out my chainsaw to buck them into small pieces once they were on the ground. Don't go to the emergency room. Stay off ladders and use a pole saw.
