Gosh! I agree with you on the fact that he doesn't really get the recognition and appreciation he should as the amazing singer he is. I hate how so many in the "kpop" industry tend to downplay Jungkook's vocals (they downplay the whole vocal line of BTS it pisses me off so much). His voice is actually really unique, especially in the kpop industry - some say that is what makes BTS songs stand out, while simultaneously having those pop vocals that are quite familiar for the western audience who's used to listen to american pop songs. Many people be like "oh he's not vocally strong". Umm, excuse me? Jungkook is so freaking good that music critics and vocal coaches get shook. They think he's like a machine with how accurate he is, that he's a singing mannequin, especially considering how when he dances he's giving his all - he's also the lead dancer. Imagine excelling in both fields the way JK does. Just because Jungkook doesn't belt or isn't a powerhouse vocalist like most main vocalists in the kpop industry, it doesn't mean that he's not amazing. On the contrary, he's unique and knows his own colours, his own style. Jungkook is also so on pitch all the time it's crazy, he sounds even better than the recording. And to think after he came back from LA .....going to an intensive dance "workshop"... he wanted to leave BTS and just become a dancer. Luckily, Jimin talked him out of it. Truly, JK had no idea how amazing his voice was. That he would become lead vocal for BTS. Without the training and mentorship from Big Hit he would not have discovered his talent and future. Interestingly, he quit voice lessons because he did not like the sound they were trying to reproduce from his vocals. He liked his own natural sound....and proved them wrong. Thank goodness JK followed his heart and gut feelings to sing his own way. And that is JK's miraculous history to vocal stardom!
