I have seen Todd about six or seven times in my life. Boy do I wish that I would have seen this concert. This is so beautiful that it brings tears to my eyes.

This performance of "Mated" is by far and away my favorite of all the ones I have heard. He was definitely at the top of his game. Just Wow!

This is so unreal and a small piece of Todd's truly amazing career. What a gift this man is to the world! He needs to be in the R&R HOF Immediately!!!!

I was too young and stupid to appreciate this genius when I first saw him in Cleveland in an earlier (half) life. Then I stumbled on the (rapidly popularizing) 2012 Amsterdam Metropole show. Then the three-song set from this show. Now =THIS=. And now I =know= I wasted almost 40 years of my life. Liv's =real= father is a giant of amazing range. From "Mammon" to "Mated," Todd is in a lyric- and music-writing -- as well as message-delivering -- league of his own.

the band and singers are ridiculous. the energy, they're tight, those vocals - they are all committed. I want this on DVD! I was young when Todd came on to the scene. I only knew "hello its me". Thanks to Live from Daryl's house, I discovered Todd Rundgren. I've been obsessed since. Then I watch the Utopia reunion. His range of music and musicianship, never mind vocals, arrangements, sorry I'm going on and on!!

One of th best live shows I ever seen. Maybe Todd on his peak. And the band? They sound absolutely perfect. Very well balanced, compact, full of nuances. And they get fun! Wow, pure hapiness!

Was für ein Konzert!!!! Was für eine Band!!! Was für eine Perfektion und gleichzeitig Spielfreude!!!!! Ich schaue mir seit 2 Jahren einmal im Monat genau dieses Konzert von Todd an, einfach damit es mir besser geht und ich an meine Human Nature erinnert werde!
I'm waiting for Todd to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame! And waiting and waiting.........he is and always has been a wonderful musician and song writer! Love you Todd!
What a Rockin' Concert, and I've been to many, this one was One of the BEST of the Best
Wish I had seen this concert tour. It is an amazing part of his very triumphant career. Can't even name my favorite part... although I am very partial to his dancing.
I love how TR sings with his hands, I've always said "even a deaf person could enjoy watching this show".

Wow ... this was an amazing, fantastic performance. What a poet, singer--such emotion. Some of the most incredible tunes ever written. Sublime harmonies and instruments. Love it.

I was blessed to be able to see this tour. I have been a fan since the 70's and this is still one of my favorites. If we could just live by the words of the song Compassion we could be such a wonderful country. Good luck on the Rock and Roll Hall of fame you deserve this
He got in this week Venus and well deserved . Todd was huge with my friends and I during high school - the ' Couldn't I just tell you ' - 'Just one victory ' songs like that for heartsick teen boys . I found that I could not listen to too much of him because it was so romantic and emotional , it was doing me harm . I had to stick to harder stuff like Wishbone Ash , Blue Oyster Cult , Humble Pie , that sort of thing . But there were times when only Todd could cure my heartache .

Todd had stage presence he could sing play n create a continuous flow of material that spanned over decades😂 This band makes a live show a visual Utopian experience❤

thank you, thank you!! so sorry I missed this amazing tour. I did however get to see some of his outfits in Akron at the Rundgren Radio event last labor day weekend. Those dresses on the gals were literally doll size and stretchy! The backup singers are beautiful and have amazing voices, love the whole band. Thanks for posting this :)

もう30年以上経つんですね、左1階席で初めて見たトッドの中野サンプラザでのライブ。22歳の自分が体験したライブで観客がみんな座っていたのはこれが初めてだったので違和感を感じたことを覚えてます。たまたまレコード店で手にした初めてのCDがこのアルバム。そこから過去のトッドのCDを聞きあさりこのライブに臨んだことが昨日のように思い出されます。今でもトッドがアルバムを出すたびに楽しみに購入してトッドワールドに漬かっています。こうして30年経ってあの時のライブをまた経験出来るなんて夢にも思ってませんでした。凄く不思議な感じです。あの頃より今の方がこのライブの良さが実感出来ます。それにしても自分の周りにトッドを聞いていた人に出会ったのが１人だけなんて。また日本でのライブ待ってます。出来ればダリルホールとジョイントしてくれないかな～。

Both rounds of this tour were golden memories. I've been attending Todd shows since Ra, and the full entourage and energy of Nearly Human was just incredible.
people told me for 30 years i had a lock on his voice, unforrtunately i did not have the disipline to gt to the other side. saw ths tour in canada along with others. great job TODD.

Glad that Todd's genius has afforded him the ability to still tour in whatever capacity he wants. That can't be said for some of his peers who don't have a major label or royalty checks. Nice too that he's loyal to Kasim, Prairie, and Jesse...

Just saw him give a free concert in L.A.. Lot's of deep cuts, the usual hits audiences crave, and he sounded better than ever.. Back up band has been Kasim Sultan, Prairie Prince, and Jesse Gress pretty consistently since Liars tour, yes ?
Yes he sounded pretty good when I saw him last in Napa ca. Yeah he had the same line up plus the keyboardist from the Liars tour who's name escapes me...

An Inspiration to me as a composer Singer of 17 HD music (One Man Band ) Videos on my Playlist .. thank GOD I was only 12 when I discovered Uptopia on 747 reel cassette for Sale in Arabia when on vacation. Then I listen to it about 100 times in my teens....especially the songs called Caravan...

No song is stretched to fit a solo - Todd arranges more, when more is needed. Want Of A Nail is a poetical conceit behind which are a dozen chart points for the band to hit. Plus it's a pun about as naughty as one of Noel Coward's.
The reset of Hello Its Me for rhythm, made into a shuffle, works great. Study of Todd is rewarded again

As a musician, wannabe songwriter (okay I am a real one, not a successful one:-) I like when Todd is more a "musician" instead of a bandleader. He has a very different and unique guitar style and is fun to watch.......he can play the damn thing too

The American Bowie? Remarkable differences in image and ethos from one era to the next. And save possibly for his 2012 show with the Amsterdam Metropole Orchestra (NOT to be missed), this incarnation was certainly one of the most intriguing after his =totally= different turn with Utopia. But -- like Bowie and the various incarnations of The Kinks -- the material is some soPHISticated shit.

The best Todd Rundgren concert ever, thanks to the female backup singers. Jenni Muldaur is the best. Too bad there are no shapely legs on any of them. They and the rest of the ensemble are great. Only Australian Pink Floyd has better female performers.
