I remember Air Cal all the way back to the early 70's. I grew up not too far from an airport and under the landing path and I remember playing outside and seeing their jets go over my house all day every day. Their older liveries were better. The one in this commercial was gaudy.
I work at the Ontario airport in the old terminal. I wish I could find something with their name on it but it's been remodeled so many times. I use to fly AirCal to the bay area.

Boy, that takes me back. I was working for Air California during the transition to AirCal and beyond.

American Airlines recently introduced its newest heritage jet - a Boeing 737-800 saluting AirCal.
